Thoughts of NASCAR cars in next GT game?

Yeah more cars would be always welcome but....

NASCAR? All the cars almost look a like every other car on the field (Exception is the coloring). Well same goes for F1 (I think) but there is nothing much special (I believe) in a NASCAR...
Gee I mean if anyone remembers Jeff driving the F1 and the other guy (sorry I'm weak with names) driving the NASCAR. You know Jeff was excited about the F1 but the ..... (I'm really sorry) guy politely said that the NASCAR sucked. (He said on the F1 the drivers the limit and on the NASCAR the car was the limit or something like that)
Sure I used to watch (Speed Channels no where to be seen on my cable) NASCAR but I was always thrilled for other racing events. Racing in NASCAR seems more like a mechanic thing cause it is more about adjusting the car to a perfect setting than actual racing. PLUS if there is no damage or crazy crashes what fun is NASCAR anyways...
(This is my longest post ever.... Damn:D)

Hey animateria, keep in mind that mechanical failures come into play a lot more than the average person may think. Power steering often fails and that puts the driver through a hell of a time to keep the car on the track, especially at road courses.

I'm not sure when the last time I saw a mechanical failure occured in F1, besides a blown engine. Yes, in NASCAR, the cars do a lot of the work, but did you happen to catch the Spring Darlington race last year? If you did, when was the last time that happened in any other racing series? I don't mean to be a pain in the ass, but I seem to have some strong opinions, when it comes to NASCAR (I'm not saying that all of them are true or will work or whatever, either)

Below, I attatched the finish that I mentioned above. . .

(P.S. - This is probably my longest post ever also.:D )

I might not be a total fan of NASCAR but I enjoy it time to time....

I seen races on NASCAR that make my blood rush through my veins too, but.... I tend to watch the last 20 laps of it.... Call me impatient but.... The only thing that seems to happen during the other laps seems only like a preparation for the last few laps.... If I watch the whole race it seems more like a mechanics race... Who got the perfect settings and stuff... All they talk about is settings settings and more settings....I guess I'm not into that mechanical stuff or something.....

Three cars. That's all I ask for. How hard would it be for PD to add just three, one Ford, one GM and one Dodge.

I've only ever watched one NASCAR race. I though i should really give it a chance. In that race Dale Earnhardt crashed into the wall and later died. Man, talk about picking the moments. :(

You'll never see Nascars in any of the new GT games. Cuz Nascar sold the rights to EA sports. I wouldn't want to drive a Nascar. I'd get bored.

Why do peaple gotta knock The Speed Channel. They need rating to keep on the air and at the moment nascar is the most watched form of motor sports. So it a good reason why they put it above other motor sports. :banghead: :banghead:

You could stil see the cars, you just won't see the series. Look at the JGTC, Sony own the rights to the JGTC, but the cars still apear ni other games, unless they own an exclusive license for each individual car and then each team for the sponsorship, they can appear in other games. Owning the rights to F1 just means your the only people who can make an official F1 game, not that F1 can't appear in other games. A more notable example is the DTM, CM own the DTM licence, but the cars still appeared in GT3 and GTC, it's just there was no DTM series in GT3, instead a knock-off series called the DTC, thats probably what would happen if NASCARS appeared n GT4.

don't you ever mention nascar in front of me, as many of the members here know, i'm on valium because of this so called motorsport. i'm about to explode just thinking of those imbreds racing.................................:banghead:
just take a look at them driving on a road coarse, bunch of inbreds,aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh............................
that's it gotta take another pills, and when i come back you'd better change the subject or else,!!!!!!!!!!!!!:trouble:

And the award for GTP's best behaved mental patient goes to.....

I think if you wanted to play a game where NASCAR isn't dominated by ovals, there is an old computer game I haven't yet played called "NASCAR Road Racing." The advertisement even says, "Leave the ovals behind..." I mean, okay, maybe I have a habit of bashing on NASCAR, but still, and check this out. Maybe there is a way where you can modify these machines with better suspension. I mean, imagine (and I'm going to use road racing terms rather than NASCAR-ese) you being able to add more toe to the cars, adjust ride height (unless you know what you're doing), adjust for lesser understeer or lesser oversteer, feed more air into the engine (I'm not sure if you can actually modify car bodies), or whatever.

As a tuner, whatever car you have can be made much better or much worse. Something that surprised me is that when I talked about most American muscle cars being too heavy to even manuver, well based on GT2, the Shelby GT350 weighed in at 2700-something pounds. To me, anything weighing just above 3000 or way below is lightweight. If the Monte Carlo, Taurus, Grand Prix, Intrepid... or what the hell? Superbird or Torino. if they are in the game, a great idea would be to race modify them. Only thing is, when you Race Modify, you can choose between a street car modified for touring car racing, or you can purchase a racing mod which will modify your car to have wider bodies, a NASCAR V8, racing tires (super softs), a FUNCTIONAL rear spoiler... basically, modify a street car to be more of a "NASCAR-GT," instead of a oval racer. This will impress non-NASCAR fans who don't mind oval racers.

Im a Nascar fan. I also like road racing alot hell ill watch anything with that gose fast... Its a sickness really  . back the the subject. My momma always seid. If ya can't say anything nice don't say anything at ALL! If you don't like Nascar SHUT UP.

Oh! A Nascar style road racing show sounds good to me. Put a wing on the back and lets go racing! It would be like a American version of DTM? Or maybe go Craftsman Truck Road Racing. huh? :D

Well the thread is for opinions on NASCAR in GT4, if the people who didn't like NASCAR said nothing it would be pointless. And NASCARS do road race from time to time, they are slow round road tracks for cars that powerful, also they would never be the American DTM, the cars are very different to DTM, DTM is a Touring car series, NASCARS arn't.

My final point, if you take part in a debate over anything, expect people to have different views, and if you don't like them, tough.

don't forget to center the wedge ballast and put the same size tires on both sides....

Live4speed is right. We are only being subjective despite our loyalties in racing.

Hey RallyF1, here's something even more red neck than Nascar....... Nascar TRUCKS!!!!!!
(That should put him over the edge):) :)

By the way, I get a good laugh every time he is here.
