OH MY :censored:ing GOD!

I got the S7 to 294.55mph, no more! :ouch: :grumpy: :guilty: Its pretty annoying when 300mph is right in front of your eyes and you just can't make it....

Maybe because I forgot to give it a oil change when I first bought it. It's got 895hp with NA Tune-up Stage 3.
ive only got 294.67 so far :(

well heres my best so far for the S7 :) keeps running out of nitrous and set a 45 shot it just doesnt seem to have the power, even tried going back on the track for a longer run up(i know you shouldnt but i did it for test purposes) and it topped out at 204.34 so no real difference :( any ideas strongly welcomed

although in other news i manage to get the toyota GT-1 to go 349.85MPH :D
couldnt save the reply though as the memory card is full thanks to tourist trophy:rolleyes::ouch: typical eh.

well done Holdenhsvgtsr with the GT-One.......i don't think you need a replay as you aren't over 350mph.

welcome Infini, i'm sorry, but Dark Elite cannot put you on the leaderboard without a verification!

somehow, I find it rather amusing that Saleen S7, second MR supercar from US with huge engine and torque, and it's still beaten by likes of 300ZX and GT-R, that have 4-4.4 litres less displacement..:D and way much worse aerodynamics. JDM muscle FTW!

Dont be getting to happy now, just wait till one of them knocks down a record of yours...

That's very true, sorry. Thanks Viper.

Funnily enough, I agree :D it's interesting how Japan seems to be the only country that can do without a massive engine! (UK excepted, of course :sly: )

Hehe, let's see how close HoldenHSV can tiptoe to the 350mph (and therefore video) barrier! I'll let that one stand :)

However, remember who makes them: Nissan. Polyphony's poster buy of pay-offs. In real-life, where the physics engine isn't so...suck... it would be a much different scenario.
And the 300ZX and GT-R have way better aerodynamics for what they are being used for because they have modifiable aero.

True.
I like that, "Real life has a better physics engine than GT4" :p
Yeah, I think that's what's making the difference. They're not fascist, therefore they work a lot better in this kind of testing :) :dopey:

Nice improvement with your R390, GT4_Rule (sorry about taking two days to get around to that, I did see it but didn't have time to put it up :guilty: ) I suppose that might even be a good thing, because I would have had to update the leaderboard on the date 6/6/6! Hehe.

Welcome to the Club, George 👍

Aha, Opendriver, I had a 'feeling' ;) you might be trying for that record soon! Aside from ripping the rear tyres apart at the start  that's fine, and well done! You now hold the Fastest Non-Nitrous Speed Record!
(Just for reference, it's easier to tell whether nitrous is fitted from inside the car than outside, but with video quality that good either will do)

And now we near 3000 posts.. Who will get the big one?
Here's an interesting comment, the Leaderboard now has ~3030 views - meaning that this is the first time the Leaderboard has had more views than the thread has replies! :)

It's nice to replace 'Nothing to Report' with an outright Hall of Fame record! Good job! 👍 👍

3 additions to the list:
316.46 in the playboy c60
313.35 in the courage c60
323.39 in the r92cp

analyzing these speeds i get the feeling there must be a difference between different gt4 games. i mean, whatever i do i cannot get the gt-one over 300, while another game achieves topspeed overall in the same car.
what i would like is for someone to mail or pm me his settings for a >350mph car (pal user please) so that i can see if its the game or just me. of course i won't publish or upload the speed to the list.
any comments?

It's probably the mileage too. Excess mileage affects power, but the thing is, that 50HP drop shouldn't prevent you from reaching 300mph. Try toying with downforce, suspension height, and the LSD.

its a new car with clean oil, no downforce, lowest height and lsd of 5/5/5 or 5/60/5. i toyed with the tranny too. yes/no trick, auto 20, auto 25, standard final, lowest final. NOT-EVEN-CLOSE :grumpy: :)
