I have missed about three pages in twelve hours :eek: but all I can say to them all is

Stop Being So Hostile!!!

Almost every post has had some form of insult in it, and I will not stand for it in my thread. We've had this problem before with you Rac3r, and it looks as if you may be wavering again, please don't go back to mindless cursing.

For those of you who think that swearing is OK so long as you asterisk it, the insults are still there whether they're words or stars....

Not wanting to end on a bad note, I'll leave all that now.

So what would you like? What would be acceptable? Digicam? Because the cellphone I have would probably be a bit on the grainy side And I really need you to watch this one!!! If it clears your critical eye (and it should!), a bomb will detonate..

Almost any method that lets me see the wheels clearly is acceptable 👍

Congratulations to all who beat their own records, and to Rac3r for beating the LSR again but I'd like to watch a video of it first.

As regards the accusations made against Rac3rs latest pictures on page 34, Octane Booster you can't say whether it wheelies or not, it's just up on it's front springs. I think, Rac3r, photomode shots at ground level are the best way to go. Although they were unfounded accusations, you still went off on one Rac3r...

A video of your latest acheivement please, Rac3r?

Remember that if you wheelie you will be disqualified, because I will see it. If a car's wheels are off the ground for any length of time you will be disqualified, at these speeds you might not even notice it but it can happen.

Basically, everyone calm down and congrats to those who've beaten records.

Just a quick thought, seeing as these speeds are getting more and more out of control :scared: I just thought would it not be a good idea to start posting up the settings that were used in each partucular run? I for one am willing to reveal my settings just to prove that my previous runs that I've submitted on these forums are genuine and that the man in charge (DE) can also try out the settings himself to further acknowledge that each run is not only as fair as possible but also legit.

Also for those other members who have dis-approved of certain videos/record attempts in the past this will surely enable them to be able to try out the runs for themselves with the settings shown and therefore be able to give a more honest/acurate opinion on each particular run.

Thoughts on this anyone? :)

Good idea, but the only thing is some people are very secretive *cough*Racer*cough* :lol: and posting settings allows others to see how you got to that speed, but I for one don't mind sharing them to give everyone an even chance :)

I don't think it could be used as a proof method though, because some people drive differently to others... I think it's been avoided so far because I still go for speed myself, thus I'm tempted to fiddle with other's setups to get my own speeds, but if people who can't get videos up, or don't trust videos/me, then post your settings for me to try, by all means.

DE I think im going to use my digital camera to record the replay. But i didnt know if you even saw my post about 337 in the Bently 8. Wich brings me back to .. RacerX did you try it? its gotta be similar.

No, I didn't see your Speed 8 post, I was quickly scrolling through arguements, sorry. Well done anyway, and if you can get some form of confirmation up you'll go on the leaderboard 👍 you don't actually need a video for that speed, but as the Bentley's fairly unfamiliar to us it'd help. Cheers.

I think Couttseys idea is fair, and I have already practiced this myself, and I´m not very secretive about my settings, and mainly by the reason DE pointed out. What works for me, may not work as well for others. For example: I gave my 351+ Audi R8 settings (see some previous posts) to DE, and he had a 342 run with those, and I also helped out Mad dj to get his Minolta to pass 350mph, while I could do 356+ with the same settings. DE, if you feel like you don´t want to try others settings, I volunteer as judge, if everybody feel they can trust me as objective. I wanted the LSR, but as speeds have risen lately, I have decided to give that up.

Another possibilty is to restrict settings, so that it would be impossible to wheelie, for example; rideheight has to be the same front and rear, and downforce has to be 1.4 times stronger in the rear. This would however mean that all previuos records has to be erased...

And to Dano78: The Bentley is very capable of 350+ mph as I have done so, and it can surely do more, but I have to get me a new one, since the one I have has deteriorated to much.
 
i have tried to break the 300mph barrier in a road car i have used the ford gt which did 269mph
and the ruf ctt which did 275mph i am think about trying that audi u get at 25%

If you read a few pages here you´ll see that the fastest roadcar is the Lotus 350, wich can do 310+mph.
I´ve also tried the Ford GT, but to no avail (291mph). And I don´t think the Audi can do it, since it´s too heavy. If you do want to try an Audi, go for the LeMans Quattro, that can perhaps do it.
 
Team666, it's not a problem at all for me to test out settings. I started the club, it's my duty to regulate it 👍 so no worries there. I don't think setting restriction would work very well though, because every car is different.

Thought you would say something like that, and I do belive that should be the case too, I just offered myself in case you didn´t feel up to the task. :dopey:

About the settingsrestrictions; Just an idea, wich I do oppose, but the restrictions mensioned would actually be appliable to all cars with adjustable suspension and downforce. If you don´t belive me, try it out! If you can make a wheelie with say maximum rideheight and minimum downforce (for an LM 38/53, wich is 38 times 1.4 = 53.) or any downforce setting where the rear is 1.4 times stronger, I´ll pay you a visit and give you a big kiss :O :crazy:

I'd rather not try! :lol: but seriously, you're right. The only thing is, the restrictions could over-restrict some cars, if you know what I mean.

Agreed. But it IS an idea if you want to end the wheelie/not wheelie rant. But as you say, some cars may suffer more than others.

Im uploading my 368.74mph LSR video as we speak

Second, your vid shouldnt count as a Second place either (Not saying you didnt hit the speed legit) its just your too close to the camera and we cant see if the wheels are on the ground or not, You need to run the straight closer to the outside barrier for it to be clear (Like My Vidz). I can pull a 380mph vid that would look as clean as yours if I go that far on the inside of the track (Ill show you when Im finished loading the New LSR Video.)

And I dont think the "Ristrictions" for the LSR on 4 wheels should be lifted, there is a LSR already with a Wheelie, 384mph.

Checked your 357mph vid man, looks cool to me. Don't know how you do it, man. Best I can do is 334mph in my GT-One.

Mine makes 1158HP. On your vid at the start it shows yours at 1588HP, but it's a bit hard to see clearly. Is that right? Where do you get the extra HP?

It actualy says 1088 because the replays what your Hp will be after all permenant hp loss and a oil change.

Im running 1158 (On the Tuning screan, as we all know this is a PS reading, because of the glitch)

Care to elaborate? NEVERMIND I read back and see people are trying to put setting ristrictions, thats Pretty funny, but I agree, it would never work, and besides this is a game, as long as the 4 wheels are on the ground its a 4 wheel LSR.

And care to post a clear vid of your wheels on the ground for your run?

I also dont beleve in giving my LSR set up just yet, because who knows one click in a direction might bump it up a bit, someone can take the set up, make that tiny change and take away the LSR with no real work. Thats real fair. Nope, Ill give them up once its settled.

i don't really care, if dark doesn't think it's legit than whatever, i'll spend some time on one that's worth spending time on. Going to bust out my black r92 next time :D :D :D

Im a little pissed the Black GT-One doesnt have the Hp of the Red one, I like it so much more and the Vids would be alot more fresh.
 
i just watched the vid again and you can clearly see the front wheel, it's extremely obvious with the non-black rims... i wish they'd let you put non-black rims on the gt-one, it would make things so much easier.
