Know what you mean ACP2005. I could not belive how those really fast guys could make the GT-one that fast. I never managed to get past 350 with it, so I pretty much gave up.

And use a new one, since you get a few more hp out of that.

Hey, It's not that hard, just keep tuning those settings and try to get that wheelie happening! 👍

Hmmm, that is exactly what is not going to happen :odd: if the car wheelies ever so slightly at any point of the run, the run is not aproved as legit. That is what makes this so hard! With a wheelie speeds of over 380 is achievable! The whole point of this thread is to keep all four wheels on the ground at all costs!

Wheelies are illegal in speed records I think

I never knew much about wheelies until I came here
I heard about them and wanted to try it out
I hit 394MPH on my Toyota Minolta by doing a wheelie... it's insane...

As for the GT-ONE, I could probably wheelie that easily too, but I’m trying to hit them kind of speeds without doing a wheelie like that other person did, I'm really tired so I have given up for the night plus the fact it's difficult, I’ll try again a day where I have more time to tweak things about.

Edit: Didn’t see that post just above mine, it was that guy talking about a wheelie then my post, the post before me just appeared out of nowhere, but anyway, yeah, wheelies = bad.

I broke 300 in a caddilac CIEN working on a 300 mph viper srt10 my cads speed was 301.11 the viper is @ 279 mph but i have no way to upload the pics/replay of either

Not particularly helpful here.

Nice one GT40_MKII, the Cien is a pain in the ass to get to go fast. I bet you'll have even more trouble with the Viper though, many of us have tried unsuccessfully with all sorts of Vipers.

I managed to get Cien over 300MPH and the GTS-R around 296... Can't qite remember, though I Still can't get the bloody GT-ONE past 325MPH...

Must be some kind of special "tactic" that only works on GT-ONE because I tuned it up in a similar way to my Minolta and my Minolta has been over 361MPH 2 times in a row so the GT-ONE is very tricky.
It either hits last gear and be flat out and still not achieving the correct
Speed or it can’t get past a certain speed while on max gear. Either way, it's doing my head in.

I know I’m good at tuning cars, lots of experience
(Nothing to be modest about)
But whoever got the 370+ without doing a wheelie
(Or whatever the record is without wheelie)
Must be a truly skilled person and I take my hat off to them.

Back onto trying to get more speed out of the GT-ONE.

If you want some tips to get a little more speed out of the GT-One, I would be glad to provide some advice. I can´t get it to go as fast as the true speedmaniacs, but surely more than 325.

When I say Higher then 325... I mean
325MPH Base Speed (Acquired without using NOS and "tricks" like wheelies)

At the moment, to get to 325, I'm using NOS to achieve it...
If I can get a "Base" of 325 then I will be able to achieve 360+ using NOS by tweaking the last gear.

What does your setup give?
Can you state the Base speed ## & NOS Speed ##

Much appreciated.

It was a while ago, but I´ll try and remember. I actually can´t remember the pre-N2O speed, so I won´t guess either, but If I remember the overall speed achieved, I think it was 348 before I gave up on that car. Since then I´ve picked up a trick or two that I haven´t tried on the GT-One. I´m currently using that car for other things though, but that will be done by tomorrow, so I can´t do any testing of my own until then.

I don`t know but in gt3 you can get the toyota supra to go like 270mph and over 1000hp but in gt4 i don`t know if that is possible can any one do that and then post it here.
because im racing the enduro races right now.
ps. i think the hp from the supra do not pass the 700hp barrier in gt4.

If you read back a few pages, or simply check Dark Elites sig for the leaderboard, you´ll find that 300+ mph in the Supra is not especially farfetched.

Akshay KUMA, what car did you use? Because if your run is a recordrun for that car, DE wants some proof.

Whee, busy at the resturant.

Anyway, who offered to give me a few tips to speed up my GT-ONE tests?
if they could kindly send them to me in an e-mail, as I check my e-mail much more often then this forum.

Much appreciated.

New Tune Released!
Anyone who actually listens to the music I spend days on making
would be glad to know I have released "Vibrations" on my Flash MP3 player yesterday night
and is available to listen to at http://acp.skystorm.net/ -> MP3 Studio -> Scroll down to Vibrations.

I could send you some stuff. A long, long while ago (Post 374!) I put up my photos for the Toyota TS020. So...

Actually, these two combined to be a pain in the ass, as the Esprit possesses aerodynamic lift at speeds above 200 MPH (and the Sport 350 possesses it above 215 MPH), and not the wheelie kind. The kind that does this:
CLRflip1.jpg

I had to add downforce to get that high.
You are right on everything else. You forgot one thing though: the torque curve that seems to be made for high speed runs (even though the car tops out a 175 stock!)
Edit: I'm also greedy. I want the R92CP record as well (barring Ozmac's BS time)
So here:
10035247rs.jpg

It says
336.22 MPH (TSO20)
334.38 MPH (R92CP)
330.69 MPH (Minolta)
I'll send you some pointers.
Edit: You have it set to not receive e-mails, so I'll PM it to you.

Crap Minolta records :p, That car owns enough power to do tremendous speeds.
361 MPH is what I got out of it so far.
Can't get very fast in the GT-ONE though :(

What one are you using? Used or New

and I'm still spanking my Z32 300ZX twinturbo around test track.

"...Day or night, that poor car is roaring around the track with the strength of it's 880 bhp.. No rest, just oilchanges and some transmission settings, and she's back on track just to see if she could get past the magical barrier, that separates hypercars from supercars.."

thats gonna be a problem!
because i do not have a camera.
but i just want some one to tray it if it possible to break the 700hp barrier in gt4 with the supra.

No problems! My Supra RZ has 904 bhp. Go for the stage 4 turbo instead of the 5, and use race suspension instead of original.

It broke the 300 mph barrier too, so get to work LG!

I'm using the Black GT-ONE tornado... but if someone says a GT-ONE can do 360+ then it don’t matter if it's used or new, its the gears, I’m sure the black one could pull off the same speeds if that person set it up the same as his record breaking one since it's the same aerodynamics, just a little loss in BHP.

ive been busy but have managed 344 but only got a small snipet of me doing 340:

took a long time but what I really need is a decent digital camera to get some good pic's-I know it's n ot anything close to what everyone else has got but i feel i did good

sorry for the doubble post!

just incase anyone has not done this, I will atempt 200ish in a honda odesy minivan/ive got to 197 but nothing more
It has been fully upgraded to 380hp plus a 70 shot of nos making a total 450hp in a flipping minivan call me whatever you want but I am going to do this
With something like that being said, maybe we could have a weekly chalenge for a car(every week will be a different one) and see how fast we can get it to go

As a matter of fact those few hp will affect the top speed in the end. Lets say you´ll be able to tune a new GT-One to run 368.xx as the current LSR. A used GT-One with the exact same setup will loose at least 1 mph, but probably more, so it will matter in the end.

Go go go, keep at it! Oh yeah, hypercars are 200mph+, so let's make 300mph+ monsters Megacars B)

You'd be surprised, it can make all the difference, as Team666 says.

It's a good idea, but actually implementing it would be very difficult - it would be extremely hard to keep track of for one, and people having time to do it would be another problem. The quest for speed shouldn't be rushed, as most people here will tell you (Toronado in particular!). Anyway, there's plenty of unspoken challenges running up there in that leaderboard!

880hp? wich one are you using? I tuned up the ´89 and the 2seater ´98 to see if any of them had potential. But it seems mileage will make for a rather large loss in hp. the ´89 pack 814hp and the ´98 836hp. I tried the ´98 and didn´t even get passed 290mph :grumpy: Off to get me a lowmileage one then!
