I used to have a Logitech DFP (same as DFGT but lacks the PS3 button). T500rs is a beast that totally chew it up and spit it out. DFGT is still a good deal for the money. But it is vastly inferior to a T500rs in every way possible.
If this were a PC forum I would say at least you can add on better brakes later, etc.
Yeah T500rs is worth the money but we will have to see how it measures up to the Fanatecs shortly
Not to mention DFP/DFGT suffers a wobble issue in GT5. If PD has not fixed that deadzone issue then I would just keep that in mind when you get it.
huh, You got ripped off! I see it around for <$500....even when released it was selling for $500 at most stores! Like most things if you spend a little bit of time shopping for a good price you will find it!
On top of that, the majority of users claim it is the best wheel available (the pedals are just below the Fanatec CSPs). iirc, even ISR said if they could have only one wheel it would be the T500RS.
(of course the new Fanatec wheels could change the equation by 2012)
edit...
Full disclosure: I own a G27 at this time and I want a new wheel by next summer. I will buy a Fanatec CSW or the Thrustmaster T500RS.
I am holding out for the new Fanatec wheel to see how it compares with the T500RS
Value for money wise it has to be the Fanatecs, namely the GT2, CSR and soon CSR-Elite, they are great wheels, well priced and compatible on all consoles.
T500 is worth ever penny..err dollar. But, you can be judge and jury about that. Go and buy you a $100 to $200 wheel. Then once you get the "wheel bug" you will want more. Then it will get even more into your pockets. Trust me on this I know first hand.👍
