Hello =) , I am new on this world of simulation but i think i have a problem:

I recently obtained a thrustmaster T500RS, but I'm having some problems does anyone can help me here ? What happens is that when I turn the steering wheel makes a bit of noise with more intensity to the left side .. the noise is similar to a computer to read files..not to mention it makes a lot of vibration when I'm playing play .. is this normal? What should I do in this situation? Thank you =)

Sounds fairly normal to me. The "hard disk" issue is normal (unless you're talking insanely loud.) As for vibration, that should be YMMV. Sometimes there will be nothing (if the road is completely smooth). Engaging the ABS on the Mazda Miata in iracing, on the other hand, will sound like a gatling gun is exploding around you.

Assuming your just talking normal T500 noises, the best solution is a pair of headphones. It's still much quieter than a G25/27, but it's by no means silent.

You've got your force feedback settings dialed-up too high, most likely. You're looking for realism, not a workout partner. Put the FFB setting too high, and the forces "clip" or saturate, meaning the strong forces max out WAY too early and mask every other smaller sensation that you might feel through the wheel . . . and that DETRACTS from realism (and makes your wheel shake and shudder like an SOB).

That's a good point. I was just assuming everyone keeps it on default 60. But that's probably not a good assumption. I also have the damper/spring both below 10 (maybe even both be 0, I can't remember what they're at right now.)

Maybe this is normal because it is new, is that as I've played on used wheels and are not strange to like .. Or even can be a matter of tuning in the settings console and the game .. I know I tested the FFD and the minimum maximum and felt immense vibration .. It may have to do with the sensitivity too ..

Those settings are accessible through the control panel on your computer, right? They have no affect in Gran Turismo I assume? The only adjustable setting is the FFB 1 to 10. Just want to make sure I am not missing out on anything...

As a t500rs owner the sounds seem normal to me but try turning down your settings for FFB. On GT 5 i ran mine at 5 and on gt6 i run mine on 4 so i can feel the push into the corner better. I've also had to send mine back 3 times to be fixed do to internal parts issues. But after the last time i haven't had any issues with it now i just need to find a way to set up an E-brake, I'm designing my own rig as my play seat has seen better day's and i want one thats more solid. Building it out of square tubing and sheet metal with the seat out of my old S2k. But i have no clue how to configure an e-brake to work with the wheel.

I have a problem with my T500 rs, The issue is PC related, i cant change any settings in the TM control panel, I uninstalled drivers using revo, no leftover or reg files, reinstalled as admin after restart and still can't change anything, the sliders work but the apply button is greyed out. has anyone else had this issue I cant see any info online about it. I would be really grateful if somebody can help. Windows 10 64bit using latest driver and firmware.
