GT Elite would like to welcome you to the latest event for drivers wanting a bit more speed in their cars I present to you "Thursday's At The Track". This will be the first event hosted by the community as a whole. The cars fast and the competition fierce. Tracks will be chosen via voting in lobby and races will be no longer than 5 laps. Races start at 8pm Eastern.

Each week a different theme to wet your race car palette.
1st Thursday - One Make races
2nd - Super Car Showdown (PP or HP/KG Races)
3rd - Classic Muscle
4th - GTE Championship Series

To touch on the events.
One Make: This will primarily be the host picks one specific car and sets the spec for everyone to follow. More about driving skill then tuning. However, This could also include One Model races. IE, Nissan Skyline GT-R's from 1990-99 or Lotus Elise any model.

Super Car Showdown: Could be anything from Italian cars, to FGT's, German Sports Cars, etc. Whatever theme the host sets.

GTE Championship Series: Points races held on the 4th Thursday of the month. 1st four races of the night count for points and all tracks are voted on by drivers in the lobby. The series will utilize RM's, Rally cars and the FGT.

I've been watching a lot of Top Gear since BBC America has been running episodes previously unreleased in the States so that inspired this weeks specs. If you want to see the episode that inspired this weeks specs its Season 3 Episode 2.

This Thursday we switch our Championship series over to Rally cars. On the 4th Thursday for the next 4 months we'll be running Rally cars. 1st four races of the night will be for points. One tarmac, dirt and snow track. The 4th will be voted on by the drivers for surface.

Car: Any Rally/WRC car in game. RM's need not apply. (You had your turn)

Again I want to stress when you select your car for the night it will be the car you race for all three surfaces. No flip flopping. Again this is per night. If you decide to change cars you're free to so on the next rally night. I recommend you make use of the settings sheets for the different surfaces. If you would like to participate with us shoot me a FR.

This Thursday we are breaking new ground for our little community. We're going to be hosting a drivers workshop to help hone skills for GT Academy.

Race 1
Silvia Spec-R Aero (s15) '02

Special Stage Route 5 / following and respecting braking zones / # Laps= drivers + 1

This will be the intro basically. We'll start with qualifying as normal. After grid placement, we will start.
No one will move.
Last on the grid will then pull forward past first place and continue at 61-62 mph. (pace lap). Allow the field to catch up.
Followed by next to last and so on till we are lined up in reverse order.
The laps for this one will be set to the amount of drivers plus 1 pace lap. After the pace lap we will start.
The leader will press on at or just below what their pace is. The idea is control not smoking the car behind you, which in turn may mess you up.
NO PASSING on this one.
After the lap, when we get to the straight the leader will pull to the right, let everyone pass and drop in behind last place .
Continue on till all have lead. stay as tight as we can. With the slowest first that driver now sees a better or similar line each lap, hopefully.
By the time we get to the last leader (the fastest qualifier)we should be able to run faster and faster and cleaner tighter lines without contact.
The last leader must drop back at the straight before the finish line. This is to set the reverse grid for the next run.


Race2

Monza /Side by Side / 4 laps

The grid will now be set with the fastest qualifier from race 1 first and so on.
2 lap shoot out till the last turn of the second lap.
(points awarded , system depends on the amount of drivers and errors)
Before lap 3 well line up side by side 1st with 2nd, 3rd with 4th and so on.
If there is an odd number of drivers 1st will pace the pack, then 2nd and 3rd will line up 4rd, 5th and so on.
The track will be run side by side for lap 3 and 4. Close proximity
Sides will then be swapped for lap 4.


Race 3
Fairlady Z (z34) '08

Rome / Overtaking on the inside of a turn / Laps= drivers + 1

1 pace lap
At the start line last place will then overtake every driver on the inside of any and every corner you can. Must be done cleanly.
The pack is to maintain 1/2 to 3/4 throttle on the straights. This is to ensure passing can be done in one lap.
The pack must also maintain the outside line.
At the start of the next lap the new last place driver will begin his passes,
If the driver hasn't completed passing everyone at start finish, continue to do so till your at the lead.
Continue on till all have completed
( point for each car passed in 1 lap)


Race 4
GTR Spec V '09
Nurburgring Nordschleife / Overtaking on the outside of a turn

In this event we will play leap frog, overtaking from the out side only.
Starting with the last car, once that car has passed 3 cars . 2 in front of the next last guy. That last car will go.
Continue this until the lap is done
The leader will lead the pack at a steady pace but not full speed. Allowing for the overtaking to be done.


1 vs. 1 races (maybe 3)

Drivers can call out or just race against 1 other guy. The track will be voted on. Same for all shootout races. But should be pretty short. 3 lap shoot out or something.
Cars will be picked from the 3 listed or any in the recommended garage
Tuning restricted
Tire : TBD

Point system:
All drivers start with 500 pts
-1 pt for lose of control or bad braking
-2pts for wall contact or off track
-3pts for contact with another car
+1pt qualifying 1st in race 1
+1 pt 1 vs. 1 races
+2 pts for avoiding contact with uncontrolled cars and staying in control
Points for 2 lap shoot out and any other race after race 4 with all drivers, determined by the amount of driver.
**(10 drivers, 1st gets 10 last get 1)
Points for race 3 (+1 for each passed before 1 lap)

I'll go through all they replays and award a 1000 ticket and a trade-able premium car of your choice after the points have been deducted and added.
If we have time run a race or two all together.
