Time Limit races glitch

Was running a 15min time race this morning. I crossed the finish line in 1st with 2 sec to space so i have to run another lap... While running my last lap i notice my postition was going down as the bots were crossing the finish line. WTF 15min race to finish in last? Anyone else had this happen to them?
 
Known bug , just start again stop in front of the finish go do something come back when it's the last lap and drive over the finish
 
Or just finish the race normally, Should go back up to 1st. (Was fixed with ninja update)
 
I'm wondering if this glitch can work in our favor... Say You just stopped in front of the finish line and let the timer count down and cross it at zero, would this put you in first?? Of course I know that would take away from the gameplay but it is an idea lol.

It wouldn't work since if others are currently doing another lap than you, you end up in whatever place it would if you did the lap or not.
 
My solution: Once in the lead just block the AI as slow and long as you can until the time expires. Did this halfway thru Nurburgring. Eventually the entire grid caught up and was bumper to bumper :lol:, but it worked and made for some cool photo mode.
