Time to give up on DLC... or have you?

Is no one but me hoping for an announcement at the Tokyo Game Show to coincide with the final 10 hours of GT5 maintenance on September 15th?

I'm pretty sure GT5 will never have DLC regardless of what even Kaz himself says. He's been known to give way too much false hope dropping cryptic hints which turn out to be either massively exaggerated or simply not true.

As for anything at TGS I very much doubt it.

Yeah but back then when you paid 60 bucks your game had more, and went through a better Q&A check. And didn't need 12 updates.

I dont know about that. No way a ps2 game had more content than a ps3 game. Gah technology is killing us all

Actually, the additional costs of development on current gen consoles has lef to reduced content for some games, either by length of campaign or just what is available. HD comes at a cost.

I know. I honestly remember spending more time on older games than I do on these new ones.

I'd love a game that looked like PS2 but had 3000 cars and 200 tracks. Tell me you wouldn't buy that. lol

On topic. DLC? rofl.

I gotcha. But over all the quality and content is much better

I would pay 10 bucks for a track pack of a bunch of new tracks. Monticello being one. Or even just have some dirt ovals or some **** too

I hate to bring EA into this again, but they released DLC packs for Shift and Shift 2 that contained legit ALL new cars (the Legends pack for Shift 2 is awesome, some real classic tracks that had never been seen before and real classic race cars).

Hate to burst the bubble, but there are actually people who were interested in historic racing before the PS3 released and everything you mention is already covered by 2 of the greatest racing games of all time... GP Legends (toooons of free mods which all have great quality) and GT Legends.

But nevertheless, I totally aggree with you... The Legends DLC was awesome!
When does PD realize that a small DLC with cars which really competed against each other (512S vs 917, etc) would certainly please the community.

This^^ Cars that actually race against eachother in the tracks they race on will be very much welcome, I don't understand why we get given a nascar seasonal and then get tracks like suzuka in it?! correct me if i'm wrong but i am unaware of any nascar races taking place in suzuka

back on point...A race series dlc would be welcome personally, DTM 2011 cars with a track like the norisring or brands thrown in would be my idea of dlc heaven and i bet i would sell like crazy.

I would pay for DLC, if it gives me new tracks (old Gt tracks) and new cars (not repaints), just like I did with Cod 5,6,7. No question about it, untill then, I'll be back racing online, as I am lvl 40/40.

All i need is new tracks.

spa night plus weather (dynamic ofcourse)
Silverstone. The new one i might. same conditions
And bathurst ofcourse. Just give me these tracks and i will give you my money kaz no questions.

i don't care about dlc that much i like using race cars and cockpit views for them so if i had every race car premium in the game...i'd be a happy person although i dont think that will ever happen because its kinda of a big order

You make a good point. First off look at GT4. They obviously knew you buy the disc and thats it, its what you've got. And releasing a buggy game was the kiss of death for it because once it was out, thats it!
