As some of you know I absolutely hate the nurburgring as a race track, as a time trial though it makes sense. I said I wouldn't do another nurburgring guide but todays was really fun! I really did enjoy it as it felt more about car control and such!

Here's the guide for those interested!

great guide, as usual great job, but...how the @@@ am I supposed to remember all those markers if I can't even remember what I ate last night? Should I perhaps pause between turns to look at my notes?

P.S. - Is it even possible to get an invalidated time in this TT? Firstly, the car has superior grip & even if the car starts to understeer, going off-throttle negates it.
trust me, it's possible, maybe you're not good enough to make it happen, but it's definitely doable 😝

The results for TT146 at 24 Heures du Mans Racing Circuit in the Gr.1 are over here. I have updated the opening post with the index of all TTs and the second post with the community scoreboards. A reminder that each driver's results for every TT is in the Excel file attached to the latest results post.

Here are some statistics for TT147 at Red Bull Ring in the Gr.3. I won't do interims for the AMG Monza one unless someone is desperate to see that.

As much as we all sighed when we saw the combo, can't deny people certainly show up in big numbers for Gr.3 at a standard track!

Haha, learn 1 sector at a time, then you'll remember sector 1 and 2 when you get to sector 3 😜

I'm at a point with the Nurburgring where apart from Carousel and foxhole and Tear garden (And "Youtube Corner" for obvious reasons), I genuinely couldn't tell you what the names for alot of these corners but I just somehow "Know" where they are. It all just blends together when I really lock in and go full attack on it.

I've been super busy with grad school... but I'm graduated now! That said, there haven't been many TTs lately that have pulled me away from studying and life, but I got excited today seeing the Swift at the Nordschleife! This one is right up my alley! Can't wait to get in there and turn some laps.

Haven't really been playing lately. The last 2 TT didn't really help either 🤣

Anyway.....saw the Ring with an under power car. Couldn't resist....did 2 laps just for fun 🙈

FWIW....I think this TT can be more fun with CS tires or even CM :D
Nice time dude. Still got it.

I love this. 5 laps each faster than the last none invalidated. Hoping for a little more time here at some point because it's damn fun for my taste.

Same here, minus the graduation (congrats by the way) 🙃. I am stoked to try this. „Unfortunately“ I am stuck at a festival for the weekend, so it‘ll have to wait until Monday

I only did 4 laps but that's all I needed to secure gold... for now.

Now for a tale of woe. I managed to do a 1:29.888 around the Red Bull Ring but it was invalid. I stayed up until 12:45am trying to get the time again but I just couldn't. What an idiot I am for wasting soo much time. Surprisingly, the biggest issue was the first corner because I couldn't find a technique that worked without fail. Even when I did it get right, I still found a way to screw myself over later in the lap. If I'm going to beat my brother's time of a 1:29.994 properly, I have to be centimeter perfect.

You said it just right, you should be fairly happy with a top 100 on this but i can fully understand your frustration 😂
Personally i knew this would happen to me so chose to gold it and ran as fast as i could , A i just don't like Le Mans and B... i think the GR010 just doesn't drive very nice, maby it's a pad thing but i doubt it. (I never been that great in high speed things tbh )

So from my point of view.... awesom achievenemt mate!
Thanks, man! Yeah, all in all it wasn’t bad and I knew it was going to put my patience to a serious test but it ended up being way tougher than I thought. With 58.7 and .6 at the two Hunadières splits I was even ahead of my friend ERAZER who finished P16 with 3:06.601. I was never going to be able to match him through the Ford chicanes and would lose the major part of my laptime there but if only I had been able to hold it together better that would’ve been real cool. Oh well, can’t always succeed.

Nordschleife with the Suzuki seems quite cool just on the surface, we’ll see how it really feels next week but sounds promising. Though again, lame time settings. Where’s the morning, evening and night? Give us some of those delicacies, PD!

So, my Nurburgring prediction was good, but not perfect. I expected the 24h layout with GR4/Gr3, and I gotta say I'm happy it's not that. With the Suzuki it's clear why we don't go on the 24h layout :)
Anyway, let's predict next week: it's gonna be Spa, it has to be. But what category? Gr3 would be logical as it's the largest GT3 race - but as much as PD is out of touch with their player base, I don't think they want to subject us to that. What else then? I could see them look at the list of brand that won the Spa 24h and BMW is the clear leader there. If it's a BMW, I can see the following options: M6 GT3 (won twice but it's a Gr3, so maybe not), CSL, E30 M3 (both E9 and E30 won multiple times) or the E36 M3 (I know the E36s that won were Supertouring - 5 years straight at that - which sadly aren't in GT7 but close enough). Another good option would be the 1964 winner, the Rote Sau. Let's see what we get though :)

Anyway, onto the Nordschleife. So far I managed 2 clean laps and a bunch of invalidated ones - it's rather easy to do that, for those asking about it :D I'm still in the bronze region, the first lap was a 8:53.3, the second valid lap, my current record is about 10 seconds below that:

With this I'm clearly aiming to continue my silver streak. I don't see a gold, although I didn't see it for Le Mans either, and lookie-lookie, I got it :) but seriously, I'm aiming for a solid silver. I know it's there, just need the time to make it happen. It's an awesome combo although if it's a Swift Sport, I'd prefer the previous gen with the NA engine but not here to complain :)

Morning folks - day off today, so an hour of seat time before kitchen DIY starts, and managed to pick up just over 2 seconds from yesterday. In theory, there’s an 8:23 on the cards, but definitely into the law of diminishing returns at this point. Pleased with this lap on the whole though, with one mistake where I ran wide into the tight left at Wehrseifen. Will jump back to the AMG challenge at some point, but having too much fun with this one at the moment
