I really like Willow Springs and his flowing pace unlike the GT4's, i don't like them very much šŸ˜‚

doh! just as I've come back into the gt community. good to see you again.

I only bought gt7 a couple of months ago and have been giving the time trials a go. I don't seem to have the love or the desire to do any online racing like years ago.

got a 53 0 on the Lexus completely stock no aids with room to improve. started to get the hang of it. had to use the Pad for that because my throttle pedal is flickering lately and not giving me full throttle

Is it a potentiometer technology pedal? Very easy to fix with WD-40.

I got down to a 1:20.824 on my second lap today...and then spent 34 more not improving at all on that. My optimum only dropped to a .705, so I really think I'm at my limit here.

There's clearly time in the lap, but either the curb will throw me into low-Earth orbit, the car won't turn, or it'll decide that it will instead go off the edge of the track I can't see once I exit the corner. Bonus points if it ruins the next lap too.

I'm...not entirely sure I can improve further. I really wanted to get into the .7s, but it's quite clear that's not likely.

What's insane is: this time is below 1%...and I'm still 503rd. I do need to remember I typically don't do as well with high-downforce cars, but it's irritating knowing I have real time in the lap (even if the optimums don't show it)...but can't put any of it together.

yep G29 pedal set. interesting, I'll have to look into that.

my findings on the Pad is it feels a lot less skiddish and easier to handle than the wheel. if you get the braking wrong with the wheel on this combo you're going for a ride

You open it up, dislodge the problem pedal from its sitting position, aim the wd40 at the circular component (try to aim inside it), spray it as you're pressing the pedal so the WD40 gets full coverage.

Then when you screw the cover back on, only screw in 4 screws, not the 20 that it originally has screwed in! Just so that If you need to reapply down the road its easier to unscrew again.]

I just changed my G923 over to this: https://www.axc-sim.com/product/potentiometer-kit-for-logitech-g-series-pedals/

I also found out, while swapping it over, the wire harness was actually the culprit. But I bought their replacement at the same time, (and the TrueBrake), so I fixed and upgraded all in one step. Don't need to worry about how much hair my husky is filling the pedal case with now. :lol:

This aged well: only about ten laps tonight and got myself down to a 1:20.682 with an optimum of...a .682.

Really wasn't seeing any more obvious time, so I'll call this one actually done for good. I didn't even finish my driving marathon yet for the night because it was so short. šŸ¤£

Yet again: lawn mowing day seems to be a winner.

...what the hell am I gonna do in winter. šŸ˜³

ooh okay thanks I'll have a go this week sometime. hopefully it fixes it.

I've never opened the pedal casing before but the gaps are big enough that i may ALSO have hair inside! or crumbs etc. due for a nice clean and tinker šŸ˜

My attempt from the other night. Thought I could beat my friend erazer this time when weā€™re at my home track but no, he got the win by 0,029 secs. Well, apart from somewhat of a minor blemish touching the sand up at the Budweiser Balcony the rest was quite good.

Kinda conflicted but will give it a thumbs up because itā€™s always a great pleasure to drive around Willow Springs but the car choice was incredibly underwhelming. Just imagine that there's two even gripper compounds existing, already on RH with this car it almost felt like you had infinite grip hack. That, in combination with the fact that it is sooooo slow makes it a pretty tedious experience. Leaves pretty much zero margin for error.

Had a busy week and then felt a bit under the weather (may or may not have been bitten by a spider while I was sleeping) so I didn't have the energy for gaming.

Managed to put in 2 sessions which were a bit more than daily mileage over 2 days, and recorded a sub 21. Pretty happy with the lap, I lose all the time during turns 4-7 where I just can't carry the speed and rotate the car enough, maybe if I had spent more time I would've found it, but anyway, rest of the lap was quite nice.

This would've been a great combo for another different time of day setting, Willow Springs has some fantastic lighting at sunrise/sunset, and Gr4 cars are already a bland choice. Missed opportunity.

RCF at Dragon Trail sounds fun, looking forward to that one. Not looking forward to the Redbull again though :irked:
