Really wasn't seeing any more obvious time, so I'll call this one actually done for good. I didn't even finish my driving marathon yet for the night because it was so short. 🤣

Shocked looking through the Atlanta list - at the lack of BMW drivers (Good addition if it's new @half_sourly , or if it's not new at least I noticed it today!). I was half a second quicker in the BMW than I was in the Porsche! Found it MUCH easier to drive (on a pad at least)

I've always shown the car breakdown with time and numbers where multiple cars are available (Gr.1/2/3/4), other then equal variations, such as the X2019 and the Anniversary edition in the very latest TT.

I think there is a selection bias though with these things. Your average driver sees the top guys use car X and therefore they too use it, without even trying the alternatives (yes, I'm guilty of that ). Then lower level drivers who don't bother looking at leader boards just use their favourite brand. You see this more with say Gr.3 - at the top fewer different cars (or just one if it is a clear meta) are used, while down the bottom it is alphabet spaghetti.

Hizal put a BMW into 12th place, less than 0.3 seconds off the top, so it wasn't a terrible car.

Did the Atlanta GR. 1 TT's WR time improve by 3 tenths over night? I barely scraped by at 2.98% and seem to remember that WR was .3 rather than the .0 it ended up with. Am I imagining things?

Also guilty of using the meta car without trying whether another car suits my avg skills better.

For myself, I'm just never anywhere close to my fast lap potential in the first 25 or 30 laps with whatever car I choose so instead of faffing about doing lap after lap just for testing purposes I usually go with the meta and focus on that.
