Poor Revo...

I can imagine his face right now

What's the new column by the way ?
"Avg of last 20"

@half_sourly i wonder what made the Lake Louise one such an outlier for popularity considering how blooming difficult it was?

The rest track to the “easier” end of them relatively
Shortness of track, I think. It appears the themes on that list are:
  • Movie tie-in open for long (1)
  • Short tracks (Daytona Tri-Oval twice, Brands Indy, Lake Louise short, Tsukuba)
  • Iconic or interesting cars introduced - GT-One, F3500-A
  • Somewhat straightforward tracks where golds are relatively easy - Monza twice, Big Willow in Gr.4, RBR Gr.3
All of which makes this latest one at Kyoto an odd one out. Unless the car was iconic? I'm no car-nut, so wouldn't know.

The other possibility is that this was only the third time the track has been used and it seems to be a popular track. It first appeared in TT17 (Yamagiwa+Miyabi layout) and at the time had the second highest participation (132.6k) behind only a Gr.4 combination. It next appeared in TT60 (Yamagiwa reverse layout) and again had very high participation (166.5k), ranking fourth most popular at the time behind the movie one, High Speed Ring in the LM55 VGT (very easy gold) and Tsukuba in the Garage RCR Civic (short track).

That makes a lot of sense and also covers the AMG GT3 car being it’s the newest GR3 car we have and have add added post launch.

I’m a car enthusiast to a minor degree, but I’d assume it is related to scarcity/exclusivity although I don’t know enough (anything really about that particular model) but there are quite a few tuning special R34s that probably have more interesting histories.

The Mines R34 and Top Secret R34 would also have been comparable inclusions instead or in addition to it. They were also heavily magazine featured cars and Top Secret have some noteriety in the UK for bringing a supra over and doing 200mph in the early hours of the morning on the newly opened A1 motorway extension between Peterborough and Huntingdon

It’s a great car although I’m not sure tuning has massively improved on the underlying car imho, just feels like whacked on massive turbo and exhaust :p

P20 out of 300,000… beating dangerous @Dan_Tes and high flying @A_Higher_Place ... plus Hollo1, all the sweaty YouTubers, and only P3 on GTP???? An absolute disgrace all round.

Car suited my style though, brake lightly, stamp on the gas for extra turn, and hold on. After the last physics change I had to adjust the pedal so 80% push was 100% brake. For this TT I could have put it back to 100% because there was a definite sweet spot to be found.

But I hate changing settings, too lazy. I didn't try full ABS either, weak all the way, and no ASM or CSM, only D&B.

Thank you both, I learned something.
If you want to see the short (<6 min Version of the Option magazine film) it’s a humours of the era (late 90s max power/Redline etc) with of the era US narration it’s quite funny, but it shows the run and the rozzers pulling him over 🤣

The highlight is “Narator: we tried to stop him, but off he went” while’s cutting to a bunch of external mounted cameras to show the run 🤣

Apologies if everyone has seen this stuff, my only intention is it brought back some nostalgia quite on the money for when GT launched and what was going on in and around the time of GT1/2

I was tempted to try again last night, saw your time, realised it was way way way too quick to even try and beat, went to bed

Great time mate! We have a real battle on our hands in the all time scoreboard but with me not really being able to commit for the next few weeks it should be an open door for you to retake that place!!

I did a 1.43.18X first and thought "nope, Dan will beat that".

Had to push for a 1.42 and hoped it would stop you trying!

That is hilarious. "Top Secret 0-300" decal on a conspicuous gold car - nobody will notice that!

Respect broskibeans. That is a mega time. Not flying anywhere near enough spheres high to compete there.

Here are some statistics for TT155 at Trial Mountain Circuit in the Alfa Romeo 4C Gr.4.
