Shortness of track, I think. It appears the themes on that list are:@half_sourly i wonder what made the Lake Louise one such an outlier for popularity considering how blooming difficult it was?
The rest track to the “easier” end of them relatively
The Nissan Skyline R34 Z-tune came in 2005 in a limited edition of 20 (= twenty!) at a price of USD 160.000,00 each. All of which makes this latest one at Kyoto an odd one out. Unless the car was iconic? I'm no car-nut, so wouldn't know.
That makes a lot of sense and also covers the AMG GT3 car being it’s the newest GR3 car we have and have add added post launch.Shortness of track, I think. It appears the themes on that list are:
- Movie tie-in open for long (1)
- Short tracks (Daytona Tri-Oval twice, Brands Indy, Lake Louise short, Tsukuba)
- Iconic or interesting cars introduced - GT-One, F3500-A
- Somewhat straightforward tracks where gold are relatively easy - Monza twice, Big Willow in Gr.4, RBR Gr.3
I’m a car enthusiast to a minor degree, but I’d assume it is related to scarcity/exclusivity although I don’t know enough (anything really about that particular model) but there are quite a few tuning special R34s that probably have more interesting histories. All of which makes this latest one at Kyoto an odd one out. Unless the car was iconic? I'm no car-nut, so wouldn't know.

Thank you both, I learned something.related to scarcity/exclusivity
If you want to see the short (<6 min Version of the Option magazine film) it’s a humours of the era (late 90s max power/Redline etc) with of the era US narration it’s quite funny, but it shows the run and the rozzers pulling him over 🤣Thank you both, I learned something.
I was tempted to try again last night, saw your time, realised it was way way way too quick to even try and beat, went to bedP20 out of 300,000… beating dangerous @Dan_Tes and high flying @A_Higher_Place ... plus Hollo1, all the sweaty YouTubers, and only P3 on GTP???? An absolute disgrace all round.
Car suited my style though, brake lightly, stamp on the gas for extra turn, and hold on. After the last physics change I had to adjust the pedal so 80% push was 100% brake. For this TT I could have put it back to 100% because there was a definite sweet spot to be found.
But I hate changing settings, too lazy. I didn't try full ABS either, weak all the way, and no ASM or CSM, only D&B.

I did a 1.43.18X first and thought "nope, Dan will beat that".I was tempted to try again last night, saw your time, realised it was way way way too quick to even try and beat, went to bed
Great time mate! We have a real battle on our hands in the all time scoreboard but with me not really being able to commit for the next few weeks it should be an open door for you to retake that place!!

You saved me bro! I didn’t enjoy that one so I really appreciate your thoughtfulness!I did a 1.43.18X first and thought "nope, Dan will beat that".
Had to push for a 1.42 and hoped it would stop you trying!

The highlight is “Narator: we tried to stop him, but off he went” while’s cutting to a bunch of external mounted cameras to show the run 🤣
Apologies if everyone has seen this stuff, my only intention is it brought back some nostalgia quite on the money for when GT launched and what was going on in and around the time of GT1/2

You are on GT Planet, and moreover in the TT subject, you are automatically elite 😁But.....nearly Top 600 in España is giving me hope that I'm not totally washed-up!
Well, I huffed and puffed to get a time at Yamagiwa, but just managed a safe Silver.

My 50th as well!
Well my golds are less than my years, by now ar leastMy 50th as well!
(Er, time trial gold that is, not birthday, don't send the Saga Magazine subscription form just yet. In about eighteen months however...)
Wow, I didn't realize you earned 50 golds. Amazing work and progress. Maybe by the end of next year you'll acquire 100 golds.
