That 40 minutes I should've spent going to bed and sleeping that I instead spent on the TT (that I already was firmly gold on) yesterday certainly was worth it to drop me down to what'll probably be my best PB in terms of placing. I inevitably screw something up on what could be a great lap (but still good enough to get gold)...but when there are only two corners...

I surprised myself when I looked at the rankings and saw myself literally one place ahead of @Tidgney 's best time, which will never, ever, ever, happen again.

We're at a point now where almost half the drivers are in the top 1%. Crazy. Perhaps it's time to introduce a new 0.5% or even 0.1% tier @half_sourly ?

I've made the change. See what you think. I did 0.5% and 0.25%, but there were still 24, or a quarter or finishers, within that, so made a 0.1% too. This is now on the template, so future ones will be the same.

Did Jeddah come back and win this in the end? Hope so. Didn't see final results.

Thought it odd/unlucky the update seemed to nerf his wheel somewhat, just in time for this TT. Is he on Fanatec?

If he isn't, is the guy who leaped ahead yesterday on Fanatec? Just wondering what would happen if the TT winner turned up at the World Finals and didn't want to use Fanatec there?...

Edit: yeah, I know the TT prize trip doesn't include a place to compete at the Finals, but I thought they'd get him to give a demo or something...

The results are here on the public site. I think @EbrahimX7 does not use Fanatec. No idea what the winner used; unfortunately that information is not available on the public site.

Acknowledge your edit, but I reckon part of taking part in the in-person world tour events is that you have to use whatever equipment they supply you with. I imagine the elite who regularly take part in these events ensure they know who the current sponsors and equipment suppliers are and then get that equipment to practice on (or ask those suppliers to sponsor them personally too).

All this is my guesswork though. Maybe @Tidgney who used to take part would be able to shed some light on that? If I remember correctly, he used to be a controller user in the early days, even when he got elite times. Maybe he had to switch to a wheel partly to compete at world events?

Your position on the worldwide leader board, irrespective of actual lap times. So if there are 150,000 participants, and you are at #1,500, you are in the top 1%

I was just being a bit of a conspiracy theorist tbh, thought it strange his wheel was playing up just in the very week the TT had a big prize trip on offer. I'm sure he'll call for a stewards' enquiry if he has reason to suspect anything. Would help to know whether the winner (or the other guy who got ahead) are Fanatec users.

As a pad user myself, I'm hoping CBPasty is a controller user, on PS4, using AT...

Mmmm, who knows, but they fixed the tgt on Thursday update and i had a long session but still failed. I had alot of opportunities to get a super lap but i fumbled haha. Im never going to drive a 4wd car again 🤣 its just anti my style of play
