Hello all,

Quite frankly, I suck at this race. I can't keep up with the CPU cars, nor can I get my tires to last for any decent length of time. I know it's limited to stock Miata's, but what's the best "version" of it, and do tires count as modifications?

The only reason I'm doing this race to to get 100% complete, as that is my goal to hold me over until GT4 is released in the U.S.

Sorry if this has been asked over and over again. I did use the search and got crap back.

Thank you for any tips or advice.

You can change the tires, so I use T2 tires. You should only need to pit once with those on.

Also, don't expect to keep up with at least one car... it wears softer tires, and scoots pretty good, but pits every 3 laps.

lol, yes change those tires
its not impossible - but its also not probable to win on stock ones

same with the stock car championship in Pro League, the PD Cup i believe (forgive me if i'm wrong on the name, i dont have the ps2 running at the moment)

As everyone should, fwdtamiya.

That race is probably the easiest of the enduro/professional league competitions. As stated, all you need is a set of T2s and you can pit somewhere between lap 20 and lap 30. I think I pitted on lap 23, I can't really remember.

The trick is to practice, and practice, and practice some more until you get it.

That was my first endurance battle (hmm....race?) I won, it really was piece of cake....As stated above, just get the most durable tires you can afford (if you`re doing the race at the very beginning, like me).

The first few laps you`ll fall back because of the AI wearing soft(er) tires, but once they pit, your tires will bw green, and that`s your ticket to your firsti F1 car (25% chance, nontheless:( )

BTW, the best Miata I believe is the Miata LS. Its the most powerful of the 1.8 Liter models, and is the newer body style.

Yup, the LS is the best of the Miatas...

I have a personal best of 1:05:53.862 using the LS with T2's, but I have also won this using the (J) model with T2's. It's also possible to win this with LS and stock tires.

The Miata LS is the easiest to win with, if you buy a new one for this event change the oil before entering to gain some HP. Like the others said, install T2 tires and you can pit once at the end of lap 20. Victory with ease.👍

You'll be behind for a few laps but once the AI starts their pit stops you'll move right up to the top.

Okay, now we're just repeating ourselves. ;)

Hey, thanks alot. I've got about 65% completed, and I just can't get used to driving the slower cars after all the racing models that I've collected. I never waited long enough to see how often the CPU pits, I'd be behind after 2 or 3 laps, and still losing time, so I'd quit. I didn't realize they pitted that often. Thanks.

i won this by almost a couple lapos with T1's.

The lead car broke away for the first few laps but pits every 3 laps, after his 2nd pit stop you should stay permanently infront of him

Which is why he's already been banned. Don't hesitate to use the REPORT button on jerks like that.

This was the first endurance race I did. I was kinda pissed in the long run, because I ended up restarting about 5 times after the first 3 laps. Since I was behind each time by a good little bit, I gave up, and figured I was doing something wrong. But then one day, I was determined to win, so I grabbed the Miata, and just went to town. Again, I was behind after 3 or so laps. But after the 10th lap, I was either in the lead, or real close (it was two years ago, so I don't remember well). I won, no-contest, but it was frustrating knowing that I wasn't in the lead in the beginning. Oh well. I know now not to give up until the end. :D

My advice.. just buy the 1.8l Miata, slap some level 2 tires on it, or medium hard, or whatever, and go to town.

Any Miata should work fine. I used the 1.8RS on T2's. When I first started out I couldn't get in front of 2 of the AI cars, but they went in the pits and I was first from then on. 👍

Use a MX5 1.8i, with very hard slick tyres, then run; in the first time a MX5 run away, but it will stop after 3 laps, while you must stop only after 20+ laps! One pit stop in all endurance.

This can be won fairly easily in any of the Miata's. You win two Miata's in the Beginner Leagues. The LS being one of them, use it. If you are really smooth, the low-end "J" model will do the trick.
The tricks are to get the oil change. Equip either T2's or T3's.
Lastly, drive as smoothly as you are able to extend the life of your tires.
If you are pulling down laps in the mid 1:40's you should win with relative ease.
There will be a few "sphincter tightening momemts". But you should win.

Just beat the race, actually quite boring. I won a dark green MX-5, with a darker green soft-top. I noticed it had different rims on it, too.

i did it with a 1.8i/LS with T4s, over half a lap ahead of the other cars. there will be a car with really sticky tires on, follow him for a while and learn the good driving line. i love apricot hill so i enjoyed the whole race

try to maintain a higher average speed through all the sharp turns, don't go to the inside on any of the big sweepers, it's not the fastest way. there's only two right hand turns in the track so just barrel into those, your right tires will wear out first anyway from all the left hand turns. don't shift down to 2nd at the S before the final turn, with practice you can maintain over 100km/h through this in 3rd gear (my best is 112km/h), to have a much higher speed down the straight. learn the AI's best driving lines though, very important

if find driving the slower cars to be alot easier. there's heaps of margin for error and lots of time to analyse what goes on if you try something different
