No small feat wining this race in a completely stock ELANTRA N '23. But it's a very good car to drive straight off the showroom floor.

Watch out for the yellow Elantra. He's fast and he can be aggressive.

Had a little time left today so I did the full stock Elantra thingy. The first room I was in had three quick cars ahead running in the low 5:30s with no chance to catch up but I was lucky with the second grid. There's been a caravan of cars with Kang in the midst and during a magic third lap I could overtake most of them. Even had a cool side by side battle with J. Hahn ( guess he's S. Hahn's brother ) before I got in the lead at the beginning of lap 4 and brought it home cleanly.

And let me tell you about yesterday, guys. Yesterday's been humiliation day  ...
@snowman_pr had reminded me of how good the 2J is around Autopolis so I took the sucker for a ride. After having done the race with the insane Lexus VGT I didn't expect the 2J to be much faster but I was so wrong. It's two different worlds actually, 3 seconds per lap even at lean fuel, unbelievable. And unbelievable fun !

Went with a fully built out Giulia for the historic race, managed p2, just not enough horsepower as I feel turbo charging or an engine swap is against the spirit of the car. Car is a hoot to drive but at 143hp feels a bit short, ideally i'd be up around 200 tbh.

I used my similar one for this event. I've adjusted the tune to 220hp and 940ish kgs to try and match how they ran in period Group 2 events. Was more than enough for a easy win here, but it's such a fun car to chuck around.

You must have turbo charged though right? I am at 146hp and I could spend another 50K credits on NA power but only gain like 2hp hp not worth it.

It is turbo'd (don't remember which flavor) and i was reluctant to do so, but i also wanted the power to be where it would match those Group 2 cars with the wide bodies. I don't think it negatively alters the driving experience in any way though. You can kind of ignore the fact that it has one.

Finished up the WTC this morning. I don't like Autopolis so I chose the LM55 downtuned to 800. I was able to do a no stop race and surprisingly there were 3 other cars that didn't pit either. I was still able to win the race though by about 9 seconds

Next took the Opel VGT out. Very lovely car. I wish I could tune it a little bit more

Next I used my maxxed out Elantra N at the Glen. I love the Elantra it is probably one of my favorite cars

For GV1 race I wanted to use the 904 but it wasn't at the right pp so I used a mostly stock 959 except for SH tires. The back end was a little bit squishy especially when I went to fast in the curves but I was able to grab 1st at the last second though.

Finally for some strange reason I decided to max out the engine on my FJ40 and threw some dirt tires on it. It was fun but it took me a lap to figure out how get all that power down but came in 2nd

I got the 2019 Honda. :)
NO rewards for me again, for the third time since they implemented the weekly challenges, hopefully PD fix this issue soon, the only reason I play the challenges is for extra credits! Bummer!

There's two known ways to trigger this issue:

  • Access the game from more than one time zone on the same account (whether changing zones on your own console or logging into someone else's)
  • Still be engaged with the previous week's events when they switch over to the new ones.

It'll affect the current week and sometimes the next week too, but should return to normal afterwards.
The second option did I do a while back, not doing that again. :embarrassed:
