This test infuriates me to no end. I'm a horrible driver so I can't even get bronze. I've tried like 30 times and only finished once, with half a second off bronze. I've tried TC on 5,3 and 0. Shifting on auto and manual. No and weak steering assists. Anyone have some tips to be able to do this difficult challenge?

I wish i did. I've only bronzed it. And the rest of the S license tests are silver on my account. I think these cars on these tests are all about throttle control. Slower into the corners so you can be faster out of them but i could be wrong. I would invite some friends and follow their lines to get an idea of where they are breaking etc. It helps me sometimes but sometimes it's annoying. So i turn the lines off. Good luck with it.

I use TCS 1, ABS 1, Active Steering strong, Steering sensitivity set to 7, and here is a video to help you.

I found slow in fast out best. I was trying to throw the veyron round like other cars but did not work. Breaking earlier and using the power out worked best. Might not feel as fast but my Times came down alot hope this helps and good luck.

I hate Ascari - wish they take it out of future GT! :D
Anyway, I only gold-ed it after getting the Veyron and actually practiced driving fast on time trial which sorta gives ya similar conditions ( time invalid for getting off track, ghost car replay). Took me a while to get used to driving Veyron on sport hard tyres and 1 TCS, 1 ABS, SRF on and sensitivity on max. But got gold in the end. If I did it, then you can too, cuz I'm also hamfisted and use dualshock 3...

Thanks for all the advice guys; S5 is the only one I haven't aced yet. Detest that Veyron - in every game I encounter it.

Will go back and give it another shot - patience is required!

It's a very tough one for sure. Tricky track and nasty car. As has been said brake very early and get turned in early. If you can hit the apexes you're half way there. It understeers horribly on the way in but once you get the power on it sticks like a leech so you need to play to its strengths. If you can get the power down early on the exits you can make up loads of time but late braking will just result in going straight on. You shouldn't need TC as it grips so well under acceleration and it will slow you down on the launch, certainly don't go above TC 1. It took me ages to get the hang of it and I never want to drive it again.

My issue isn't with the Veyron, it's with the fact that SRF is forced on. I feel that made things more difficult because it went against everything regarding the way a car responds to input. It's a heavy car with a great deal of power and grip--once you come to terms with that, it's not different to drive than anything else.
Completing the event boils down to: slow is smooth, smooth is fast. Concentrate on getting the car along smoothly, without abrupt changes in steering input and acceleration/braking, and you'll see your times tumble. Getting a ghost of your own on the screen does wonders as well, as it enables to see where you can improve.

I know it annoys people, and in my general driving in the game I don't use it but if all you wanna do is nail gold and move on use ASM/ TC-0/Driving line (if you're unfamiliar with the track).
ASM allows you to be a little more agressive without over doing it.

Kinda glad someone asked a question about this... I'm a good driver but a Bugatti on that Track? No that's a bad combination.. But I'll be sure tips posted above me as I'm sure they'll help

What I used for 13 years of experience in Gran Turismo:
ABS-0, TCS-0, ASM-Off, Steering Sensitivity-3

What you need:
ABS-1, TCS-0, ASM-Weak, Steering Sensitivity-5

You'll be able to power through the center of curves without having to steer too much, making things a little less harsh. Give it a go.

I golded with only abs 1. There are some corners you can brake way late on, others you have to brake really early.

Practice, practice, practice.

I got Gold on most of the tests on the first try. If you have a wheel, no assist is the best way to go. If you're on a controller, I don't know what to tell you, get a wheel?

For Aventador and Veyron, you really have to feather the steering and the throttle.

Just keep practicing until you're very comfortable with them. ;)
