Hi, I was looking for a FAQ on the Course Maker thread for GT6 and couldn't find one, yet I posted a thread called Tips and Tricks and a couple of people have posted some good resources which I think could be useful for all of us as a reference point.

I would usually post such a thread gathering all of the questions, but I really haven't been very active lately, so maybe there could be a stickied thread for such matters.

If somebody makes/maintains one and turns it into a good resource, I'll be happy to sticky it.

I have been using this a lot and it seems like it covers a good range of questions. Thread title could have FAQ in there somewhere. Other than that. Looks great too me. :)

You are right; it is a good candidate for that since it covers a multitude of questions. 👍

I'm not sure that the title needs to have 'FAQs' in it at all - there may be less frequently asked questions, too, that someone may need to ask somewhere. I think the title of the thread more than speaks for itself as a 'go-to' place for help - and sometimes the problem is one that cannot be answered with a single answer; many other related questions come up, and so it also turns into a discussion about that particular question.

Stickying a thread is a sure way to kill it - it keeps the thread invisible at the top of the Board seemingly 'unbumped' and inactive in comparison to a thread that is constantly active, moving around the Board, and catching readers' attentions.

But, stickying a thread also saves it from death if it is a thread not posted in often - say something that only needs to be referred up and maybe posted in only when some relevant info has to be added.

Looking at it like that, I don't think the TPE 'Help Desk' thread warrants stickying as yet, but as things quieten down and less questions are asked (which will then have the thread less active) it may be a good idea to save it with a pin to protect all the info that was collected, from being wasted.

As always, the staff knows best, having a much wider overview than we do - so we will leave it in their hands.
