Common sense? How is that common sense? And yes, the pictures show road, semi slick and full slick tyres, but we all know the tyre model is messed up so how can you be so sure that thats what they are?

How is it not common sense to match the tyres to the pictures?

Obviously the tyre models do not act exactly the same as their real life counterparts but the overall effect will be the same, going from a comfort hard to a sports soft will be a similar effect of a cheap road tyre to a semi slick.

And if you are trying to match the game tyres to an exact real life tyre then I think you may have your hopes a little too high. GT5 is just a game, and in some tyre aspects, a very poor one.

Ok, so yes, common sense to match the tyres to the pictures, but do you have data to support that at all? Its all well and good to say that those tyres are that tyre because the picture says so, but without any data to support it, its just an assumption...
