Hello gang. Sorry to drag up a question that's probably been answered before, but the search term seems to vague.... If there are already threads, just point me in that direction...

1. 5 laps races. Seasonals, A-Spec. I hear racing softs wear fast. Is it possible I'm noticing the car slipping more after 3/4 laps? And can I drive smoother to prevent that ? I've always read bits and pieces about tire wear, how hard you drive , etc in 2 hr,4 hr,24hr races...but is happening in a 5 lap race?

2. Damage. Not worried or talking about cosmetic. But if I hit a wall, catch a lucky bounce back on track and pretty much keep my spot, will it affect the cars overall performance? I ask because I feels like it does. Top speed, cornering, or is it tire wear or is it just my imagination :ouch: ( or me blaming the game for my lack of eye / hand coordination ?

Thank
Paul

There's no tire wear or damage in Seasonals or ASpec except for Endurance Races. You can chose to use either in Practice or Arcade Mode. It's also optional in online.

I don't believe tire wear or damage appear at all in A-spec or Seasonals (except endurance races).
But in cases where damage is a factor (I believe only when you turn it on when online or in arcade mode?) then you'll get a loss in performance (generally you'll feel your car noticeably swerve in one direction and you'll see a loss in power). 'Weak' damage is temporary and lasts about 10 seconds before fixing itself, and 'Strong'(?) damage can be fixed with a pit stop (or quitting)

Thanks. I did read about damage online somewhere. But not GT or Arcade mode, but it was a very old thread and wasn't sure if an update affected it.

So In summary, don't over-think it Paul. Just drive the darn car LOL

In case anyone reading this thread has an answer for....
My Alfa Romeo 155 2.5V6 TI 93 tends to crab walk when I'm cornering hard on throttle. Like a 4wd truck turning on dry pavement. DIF settings or Yaw?
I thought I was in love with my BMW M3 TC. But I'm guessing that was just a crush cause this MUST be LOVE :dopey:

I dunno. Maybe sometimes driving style meets its match? Maybe sometimes the look or the sound is so appealing to the individual that it stimulates the brain a tad bit more than a comparable car, therefore they drive a tad bit better and it pays off with a win or a big smile.

There are plenty of cars in my garage that I put in my "Does Not Turn" department. I really tried getting that Airtrek Turbo to drive likes its not constantly pulling the family camper.

:dunce:
