Tire Wear? Fuel Consumption?

The fuel gauge never seems to shrink at any point that I play and I'm a level 15 A-Spec player so I have ran through some longer events. Is that gauge even for real?

Tire Wear... I noticed when the tires lose traction the tires go red and will turn back to blue when it's in full traction.. Okay so that would mean tire wear won't be indicated by color, and funny enough it looks like each of the tires are gauges on their own and will deplete the more the tire is worn out. The strange part is I never see this happen despite driving horribly and burning rubber all the time. How is tire wear displayed?
 
You only get tyre wear and fuel depletion in endurance races for A-Spec.

If you go into Practice, choose to do a one make race, you can experience tyre wear and fuel depletion there.
