Tired of giving the AI cars a head start so that you can enjoy a challenging race?
It is my view that for gt4 to provide a challenge for all players, the game system must be able to be tailored by the individual. Hence once you have completed the game, or a certain percentage of the game, the player should be given the option to choose and modify AI opponent cars. If you find that you are winning too easily, simply up the mechanical spec of the AI opponents. You could also choose AI opponents from cars that you have created in your garage. It would be interesting to watch your creations slog it out together. This option would also allow us to create our own quasi tournaments such as a race with the entire selection of Mitsubishi lancer EVOs.
Another thought is to provide us with the option of fitting adjustable air restrictors to reduce the horsepower of our cars. Say that you love your RUF 3400s and want to race it in the polyphony digital cup, you could decrease the horsepower to provide yourself with a challenging race. Further, if horsepower restrictions re-emerge in GT4, you could also modify your car with things such as port grinding and balancing without worrying about it being excluded from lower horsepower races. The option of ballast could similarly return your car weight close to original spec.
My final thought is that once you have completed 100 percent of the game, it is arguable that the player should be able to enter any car into any race in order to add variety to the tournaments. eg: race a turbo modified car in the NA championship, or race an Esso Supra in the Toyota Pod race. Thanks MK
