He's in Australia. Newegg doesn't ship internationally. Also, their dollar isn't equal to ours.
Oh sorry. I did not know that.

Your E8400 should be running at 3Ghz.
Which version of the bios are you using?
Is speed stepping on?
Nice looking setup you got there:tup:
EDIT: the 4850's are a good value if you wanted to the ATI route, and there available, unlike the 4870's.
👎 You could at least get Vista Ultimate......Yep that's 2GB Kingston DDR2 RAM.
Thanks Muzzy Ballz,
Well the final part list had to differ *again*, so no RADEON, but instead the GeForce 9600GT 512MB.
*snip*
With WinXP SP2.
Well not really, but I heard Crysis has one of the most demanding minimum requirement for any video game on a PC (and also one of my friend said the game was goodI don't see how such a meh game should be a huge deciding factor in what OS he gets. I think he should have gotten Vista as well, but that is hardly much of a mitigating factor in the grand scheme of things.
As for Vista, after seeing what Vista ultimate can do, (and that XP will no longer supported in a few years time) I think that Vista was the better OS to be using in the future.
Misinformed.I would would rather not have Vista as all the silly features need 2GB of ram to run smoothly(MS site says you just need 1GB to run smoothly).![]()
Vista is a much better OS than XP. Granted, it's not the big quantum leap it was hyped up to be. But it is much more secure, faster and more usable than XP. Also, it was designed to work with and take advantage of the latest hardware - XP is seven years old people. Multi-core 64-bit processors weren't even imagined in the mainstream back then.I didn't bother to get Vista since just about everyone says it's not that much better than XP, and it needs a much better PC to run smoothly on. I'll keep my XP thanks.
But like I said before, not many games are going to support XP anyhow. If you can tell me how to play Halo 2 on my XP without the game actually lagging, then I'll take back all that comment. As for the "best of everything" comment about Vista Ultimate, I didn't exactly said I was going to get the original didn't I? I could easily wait for Vista to get hacked and buy them somewhere here for less than 10 bucks!Excuse me? What? First off Vista Ultimate is basically a cash cow for people who want the best of everything. Very few people would actually need its extra features, which are very few to begin with.
Secondly XP is being supported until 2014. Which personally I think is a bit more than "a few years".
Make that 3GB.I would would rather not have Vista as all the silly features need 2GB of ram to run smoothly(MS site says you just need 1GB to run smoothly).![]()
What turns you off Vista then? Give me a good, technical explanation of why Vista is so bad that you are willing to use your 'top-notch' machine to run a decade old operating system. "All my friend's say it's crap" doesn't count. Please, install it for yourself without a biased outlook from everyones' opinions, and then come back and tell me what you think.Just so you know, for the record...the people running xp are not actually all noobs with gay computers and complaining about how memory taking vista is. We actually have top notch computers and dont want vista so we dont get it. You cant assume that we dont have vista cause we dont have good computers and instead complain about it.
This was basically directed at Shannon.
You've kinda made me want to get a new PC now....hmmm
