Actually the Skyline is dead after the R34 is done running. Even if Nissan decide to pursue the GTR it will not carry the Skyline name anymore. With all the rumours going around it is hard to follow. A very good mate of mine who owns a car yard is in Japan every month and often stops at Top Secret, has recieved information that the new GTR when produced will also not carry the current RB motor but a V8 or V6 mill.
