Hi all. Im in a bit of a dilemma and i need some advice off you guys

I recently bought the Driving Force GT steering wheel, have played the GT Demo for an hour or two it but haven't touched it since. Reason being, i have nowhere to clamp it to and im not sure if i even need it or want it....

As a F1 fan and im not sure whether to buy the game (F1CE) so i can use the wheel with it.. (Will the wheel even work with this game?)

What do you guys think i should do? To keep or to sell?

Thanks guys :)

If you have no space, get a Logitech lap attachment or a wheel stand (recommended because they are sturdy and can be fold away when not in use)
Yes, the wheel will work with F1CE.
So I guess what I'm saying is: keep it :)

^^ what he said above me. The wheel works good with F1CE :)

We (me and my dad) have made an home-made standard (from old unused materials) which is one way an steerwing wheel holder, if you turn it upside down (and put nice tablecloth on it) it has become an extra table for drinks beside the sofa.

There is always an solution! ;)

I've also a "self-made solution", you willl find one too. And btw., F1CE is absolutely awesome with a wheel, playing it right now, it's really fun. (though I have the Driving Force (FX?)-the direct precursor)

:) I just hooked up wheel and played Grid and Dirt 2 and ive been blown away at the way this steering wheel works, the force feedback is immense (but not so good on the GT Demo!). I think playing the GT demo put me off a little because it was nigh on impossible to keep the car under control.....I think i may keep it after all...I was thinking of making a small but sturdy stand beforehand and i may just do that now

Alex p. - I just played the F1CE demo with steering wheel and i cant use the pedals, Can you use em in the full game?

Thanks All

I don't have a wheel yet but is that really true ?
It would seem to me a wheel might make a driving game fanatic out of a person who might not even like driving games when played without a wheel, only to love them when played with a wheel.

You can get a DFGT for $99.00 or less so its not an over the top price or fanatical to just have a wheel in your house should you want to play a driving game once in a while or even once in a very long while?

You really don't need to be a "gaming fanatic" to own the wheel. I don't understand why many think you have to go to an extreme with things.

No, no...Fanatec is a different company. :)

And sorry, but I think it is more fanatical to drive a car with a pad. No offense intended.

I agree, I must say though, we are on a fan site. Ha.
I'm openly a GT fanatic. I'm also a wheel owner. 👍
