Hard for the untrained eye to notice but you turn left and the whole car will pan left a few mm. Vice versa. Every input to steering will pan the whole car a few mm.
It's more noticeable in replays and looks odd to say the least. I'd imagine it's got something to do with the tyre model and some values here and there rather than the suspension model or weight transfer.
How to replicate the feel on a controller: Drive a car on a straight line, get to 80mph then suddenly push joystick left, right, left, right, left, right smooth quick rythm, each movement should be done around the grip limits of the tyres...the car mostly goes straight but it feels especially odd. Make turns at high speed feels odd as well. It feels sluggish and slidey but not the dynamic kind. It feels like the tyre physics was coded using outdated primitive and/or optimization methods.
To cut another long story short, let me summarize
TL;DR: Overall, on tarmac/asphalt the cars always feel like they're panning around a corner, than rotating, or turning. Weird as that sounds. Try it out.
