Have you checked your NAT? That's usually the cause for any of my GT5 connection problems

Erm... what's a NAT, how do I check it, and what should it be like for best GT5 performance please? :)
 
Go into the public lobbies and create one, and it should give you a little options page which will have your NAT and bandwith on it.👍
 
If it is type 3, I usually fix it by power cycling my router. If that doesn't work though, you'll have to do something similar to Furin's lovely simple method there. :p
 
According to my lounge settings, my Nat is 2 and my bandwidth is high

Sounds ok doesn't it?

RP... ya may have to go to the back of queue as a reserve as we can;t have lagging cars hitting each other, that will cause chaos.

Just so you know, Akmuq stated earlier that I don't lag during races. It's getting myself to stick in the
bloody room thats the trouble :ouch:

I'll disconnect my router on launch night and see how that works eh?

If its no better, then of course as admin you get to do what you see fit for your series, no probs 👍

I mean as in when two cars who cannot see each other they "lag" into each other which can cause problems for drivers....

RP, after all you would not have seen this on your screen, but this shocked me so much I crashed :lol:

RP is right now right here in my lobby and we can see each other perfectly...

In the latest TOCA practises we have always been loading for each other... incidentally, it has only happened in Furi's lobbies, never in the V8's.

I really don't know, I wish there was some guide on how the GT5 online lobbies actually work, and we can find out exactly what's wrong with connections...

I didn't know that Gran Turismo had flying cars :sly: Where's mine? Do you get them from tickets? If so, what level? Where can I trade a car for one?

TOCA Season 4 - Pre Season Interviews - The Teams!!!


These 5 drivers are each a part of their own team bidding for TOCA glory. 6 teams will battle it out and here from 5 of them (MULE and Wiifreak's team are not yet formally announced), are the team's most experienced drivers...

Tom from TEAM FTR - Volvo
RedDragon from RACETECH INTERNATIONAL - Volvo
Akmuq from Rasaíocht Éire - Ford
DaxCobra from VenoMMotorsports - Mazda
Carbonox from DBC Racing - Mazda.



What did you think of last season in TOCA?
Tom: Last Season in TOCA was fantastic, although I only turned up to a few events throughout the season due to personal commitments, I thoroughly enjoyed every single race I participated in.

RedDragon: I enjoyed it.

Akmuq: The best season yet in terms of cleanliness and excitement, and personally, the season where I got a few wins.

DaxCobra: For the races I was in, they were fast paced, action packed (too much sometimes, etc Monaco) and most of all fun.

Carbonox: It was not as enjoyable as S2 because it was BMW dominated, but at least the FWD's had good battles.


What is your aim for Season 4?
Tom: My Aim for Season 4 is to be at the sharp end of the grid, I know this will be difficult due to the skill and determination of the other drivers. It's incredibly exciting waiting for Season 4 to kick off and I can't wait!

RedDragon: A few wins. Nothing fancy.

Akmuq: Plain and simply, the championship.

DaxCobra: Honestly? To win.

Carbonox: Championship. I'm done with the times when my inexperiencedness led to failures.


How are you finding the car?
Tom: The Volvo is surprisingly nimble and has an incredible amount of torque. I drove the car whilst doing participating in Season 3's Pre-Season Testing whilst deciding what car to drive and I decided that if RWD was ever taken out of the equation, then the Volvo would be the way to go.

RedDragon: Haven't actually tested it with the MFT tune so not sure.

Akmuq: An absolute dream to drive, adapts so well to the softer compound and has no trouble getting it to turn in.

DaxCobra: Suprisingly nice despite the FF layout.

Carbonox: It's heavy and might suffer on straights, but it's definitely got handling abilities.


Any particular event you are looking forward to this season?
Tom: I'm a big fan of Le Mans, I took my first ever win there in the BST Monaro Cup and I've been hooked ever since. It's a great test of Driver vs. Machine, you're on the limit all the way around the lap and it's very rewarding when you find that sweet spot.

RedDragon: The rain races.

Akmuq: The Masters, to see if anyone is outperforming their S4 car and it's the event before my birthday so I want an early birthday present (also, is their a prize for winning that event?)

DaxCobra: Grand Valley East/Reverse and Rome look to be fun.

Carbonox: TOCA Masters as it sounds entertaining, probably also Monza as it's one of my favorite courses of this season.


Thoughts on the new for Season 4 John Cooper Challenge?
Tom: Once again, I love Mini and their fantastic handling. It should be a real challenge!

RedDragon: Hooray!!!!

Akmuq: It should be another fun event where we get to trash each other up before the main thing, like the Megane's.

DaxCobra: Haven't really thought about this series! Should be as good as the Meganes, gets you warmed up for the main event!

Carbonox: Well you know, it's always great when there's a support series.
