Congratulations! My first car was a 1960 VW Beetle with a rebuilt 1961 Karmann Ghia engine in it. It wasn't the best car in the world (lol, understatement!) but the nice thing was that it was a very easy car to work on and I learned a lot fixing and tinkering with it. Today's cars are pretty inaccessible for the amateur mechanic what with the computer controlled eveything and complicated emissions systems.
