Well, I beaten all the gangs, including "NO LOSER," and the game is getting much more deep. I mean, there are new rivals in Tokyo. And not to mention the ability to get other cars and their groups in Nagoya and Osaka. Except Tokyo, I think Osaka is pretty nice. And Nagoya, although short at first, seems a little empty. The game is gettig more interesting if you ask me.

By the way:

COOLEST CAR I RECENTLY BOUGHT IN THE GAME: DeTomaso Pantera GTS

It isn't a Ferrari, but I like the speed and the power. The only thing I'm working on is making it raceable, so that I don't lose races by having my car T-boned to a wall.

However, Speed King and company are back as bosses. However, they either have new names, new logos, new driver names, or new cars. To me, I thought TXR3 was going to be a short game, but since I conquered all three cities, I have MUCH MORE WORK TO DO! I'm not saying it in a mad voice, just saying that once you're done whipping the butts of the other racers, you face the more powerful racers. You remember TXR0? You raced in the neon-lit metropolis of Tokyo, then you raced basically on the outskirts. So what's the good thing about these "outskirts?" How about LOTS and LOTS of road to work with? Hell, I remember hitting 256 mph on Wangan B in TXR0. Now that I got this far, I want to get in some more cars. So that's what I'm going to work on. Until then, questions/comments welcome.

I think there is one major flaw that can occur too often when looking up rivals. When you jump back to the Garage, the game will stop up, forcing you to either turn off the PS2 or reset. To me, that's the major complaint that can occur sometimes.

This has been complained about throughout the The Official TXR3 thread.

Wow...

But I think TXR3 is pretty good. I also think that the cars can be bought for just a little cheaper than they are now. It can cost a lot to get an FTO or a 3000GT. I think what might upset fans is the exclusion of Honda/Acura. Don't give me that "they don't want rice rockets" deal. As I play this, I'm playing TXR0 to hark back to my younger times of playing TXR0. Going to see what improved/worsened since TXR3.

Anyhow, Honda/Acura are not in the game. I'm not saying I'm a fan of Honda/Acura, but I think fans of Japanese cars will be upset that they aren't in. Everything from the Beat to the NSX won't be in. I would think a JGTC-style NSX would be cool as well.

I'm playing TXR0, and the cars are priced MUCH CHEAPER than TXR3. Of course, the machines don't have real names, but resemble their real life counterparts. I also think that the color scheme is more realistic, having both a primary and secondary scheme to paint. One thing I like about TXR3 is how can you can take in clues about the Wanderers so you can try and find out how you can challenge them. In TXR0, you can learn what cars have what kind of horsepower. For example, Blood Hound's race-prepped Lexus (or should I say Toyota, since this is Japan I'm talking about) has 820hp and weighs 3473 pounds (but why did he keep beating me?

Oh, and here's a tip I'd like to share. If you know you don't have the car to beat, look for places in Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka where you can have the environment get into the way of the rival. This means that if you are in Tokyo, you'll need to enter the Ginza. If your rival hits one of the two walls that divide the street, you might have a chance to beat the rival. In Nagoya, racing on the Kanjou means you'll have to enter at Higahi Betsuin to get an edge over your rival. In Osaka (beautiful city in the game), enter through Shinanobashi. If your car is fast enough, you can actually force the rival to make a mistake after the chicane.

And to end, check out these two sites. They are helpful for finding the Wanderers and their locations:

ON GTPLANET:
https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/f-23.html
ON GAMEFAQS (recommended for many aspects of the game):
http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/ps2/game/919121.html

That is all. So race on! Meanwhile, I'll try to earn some more money and race my DeTomaso to victory. I'm already at 599 horsepower, and the car handles like a charm. Once you get the slipping-sliding cured, this is a great car to race. Just beat EIC@MSR in Osaka to get it, then you can buy it for 111,500 CP. Trust me, it's a great car. And when it comes to the game stopping at the rival screen, it kind of happens when you are looking at a rival's car and you want to back out of the menu.

Honda is not great. I think its better without them. No riced out Civics. If Crave did get Honda, just the 2003 NSX would of been nice.

And another thing, since I try to keep a perfect record, don't be afraid if you lose a few matches. Sometimes, consistency gets to be stressing, so it's okay to accept a loss and take on your last rival. This is just a more lighthearted bit of advice.

Theres probably around 100 liscenced cars,Theres abou 15 cars when you first start. This game is alot more sim then NFSU and in general,Beats the crap out of it.I still find myself coming back to tune up the cars and such and I havn't got 100% complete even though i've owned the game for about 3 months now.

Baisiccly this is like a cross between an RPG,Gran Turismo,And the past TXR games. NFSU is a retarded peice of crap aimed at fanboys,Which is probably why it sells so well.Anyways if there only was 15 cars,Thats not far off from what NFSU had.

Yea there is over 100 cars easily. Tokyo xtreme racer 3 is one of the best car games i have ever seen. I have always liked the tokyo xtreme games. I like them better than GT3.

Okay, you don't have much of a thing for realism then.

I wasn't bashing, it's okay to prefer arcade games to sims, so go **** yourself.

Oh it's possible, somthing might need cutting off first but it's possible lol.

No, I don't think it would be my kind of thing, I would like the chance of kids in 5 or 6 years.

I beat all the gangs in Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka. The problem is that the game kind of have some Wanderers with stiff requirements (for example, the game has a Wanderer which requires 100 million, I think, based on an FAQ). If the next TXR game follows this, I think that maybe things can be like "Tokyo vs. Yokohama." You know, two cities seperated by 30 miles. Yokohama invading Tokyo. Tokyo invading Yokohama. Would be a cool idea. But I would keep Osaka. I love Osaka, if not Tokyo. Maybe some more races on city streets would be good too. I don't have Midnight Club 2, so I don't know Tokyo off the highways.

Ahh... Tenessee. The Volunteer State. Home of the 1998 NCAA Football champs, the Tennessee Volunteers.

You don't get that game in Tennessee? That's sad. Maybe you can order it online or through a catalog (if there is such a thing).

i recommend this game to everyone too. i have the second one for 2 years or so and now hust got the third one 3 weeks ago. its great. one think i like is u could find the car u like and make it the way u want it.

P.S. Its kul how u could make the stock rims bigger too.

yeah its a good game.
so how far is everyone?
what cars do u guys own? [srry but i would like s to talk with SOMEONE about the gamecause i a have noone to talk about this game with

Well i was 91% completed with the game and my friend deleted it. I had a the newest Supra, Silvia S14, and a Subaru Wrx Sti. I had 9 million dollars. All cars were fully modded. I have one Q. When do u unlock the engine changes?

I wouldnt put it on the scale of a GREAT GREAT game. Its a damn good game I'll give it that. My opinoin if I were to give it 1-10 I would give it an 8. The quantity of cars including manufactures pleased me. Yet a downside to the game I think is the lack of hp you can create with the cars. I dont think I see very many 1000hp cars as there were in the previous tokyo extreme racers. Also when you unlock the custom engine swap you should be able to modify it pretty badass. Most of the motors that I got custom were not of any benefit to me at all. They were worse if not equel to that of the motor that is in it already fully modded.

In some races, it actually looks like it's snowing.(Strange)

Although I would have liked to see the NSX, its ok.

If you have played TXRZ, then you'd understand the bosses profile in Tokyo. With Jentei, Dejected Angel, Blood Hound.

You'll be amazed when in the game is PS instead of HP....
