Tommy Kaira ZZII in GT5 compared to GT2

I think the Tommy Kaira ZZII looks better in GT2 than in GT5.
Here are some pics, what do you think?

Doesn't the ZZII in GT2 look like a real supercar?
Whereas the one in GT5, to me, looks like a badly done model or replica of a supercar.

I have only played Gran Turismo 2 before Gran Turismo 5 came along. I fell in love with this car while playing in GT2, so when I heard of GT5, I was excited because I thought the car from GT2 would look so much more awesome in HD. Sadly, it looks completely different from what I thought it would be. I never played GT3 and GT4 before so I didn't know how the ZZII looks like in these two games. I wished they would have modelled the car after the one in GT2. :(
 
Nice pics. Firstly in my opinion the one from GT2 looks more like a road version race car, wereas the GT5 version is more of a supercar, like a ferrari version of the mclaren F1(i've always felt). I like the GT5 version because of that, it looks more of a supercar, than a racecar transformed to road car.

I've always liked the GT3 onwards version (same one thats in GT5). Especially since its Skyline powered. :D
 
I think that is a very nice looking car, actually my its in mypersonal top 10 best road car that can be race car. Sadly there were no race mods for it. Only rear wings. Full maxed up, proper downforce adjustments, it car reach 386 kph. Tommy Kaira was kind of neglected in this gt serie, which I think, its a pitty..
 
the spoiler is coloured in gt2 and looks better placed...... sadly. meh I still love this car.. I put some "Starmist Crimson" color on mine and it looks pretty damn sharp.
 
Much prefer the GT2 version ... the rear end looks a lot tidier, especially with the wing and centrally mounted twin exhausts!
 
The zzII in gt3 was the the best car besides the gt one and the formula cars. You could kill every event with it. 900+ hp and the lightest. Ghey they way they changed it. Was it changed in gt4? I never played. Went from gt3 to 5

Interesting I kinda forgot how it looked like.

The back end looks like the mix of a Lamborghini Diablo and a Saleen S7.

What's with the ASL logos on the rear end and number plate? Is this originally ASL's car that Tommy Kaira (sp?) tuned?

Tommy kaira went bankrupt in 2001 and were bought out by ASL (A.K.A., Autobacs), and put some more time into developing the ZZ-II (under the name RS01) after the buyout before cancelling the project outright.

In fact, the Autobacs Garaiya was based somewhat heavily on the earlier Tommy kaira ZZ-S.

The blue ZZII does look pretty decent in real life:D, but the one in GT5 looks kind of ugly to me.:yuck:

I was just bout to post this. This car, along with Saleen S7, should be premium due to their popularity. Well going by that logic, theres a lot of other candidates too. But for sure ZZII is probably one of the most popular non-race car.
 
In my mind, I cannot understand the decision to cancel production of this car... Its just beautiful... (there must be some very good reasons, but my opinion is biased, Im in love with this car!)

As per the version, despite the wing and almost race-car design, I prefer the GT3-post version due to the number of pixels, and I too wish theyd make it a premium as well... It deserves the change!

Yes, all ZZ-II have the Skyline straight-six turbo.

But the photos are beauitful! I wish this monster was mass produced in real life instead of being a concept with a few working ones :(. This car is a beast, I love it.

Ever since GT2, I feel in love with it, but never drove it long time ago because I was messing with the others and had a 100 car restricted garage and I didn't want to sell my other cars :grumpy:, I drove it in GT3 all the way to GT5 and I love it even more than before, espically the price for it and all that power placed on a AWD system, MR powered RB26DETT engine and defeats cars in its class and even some race cars?! That's a bargin for FUN right there. :D:tup:

Bought this car today... I've never seen it before at the Used Dealership... I could not believe the price....... 59k Credits? Are PD kidding? For a 550 bhp 4x4 Middle Engine Super Car? I've not driven it yet, but I'm sure I've payed more for a lot of stupid cars that doesn't have 1/4 of this specs...
 
I like the one we have now beter, the one in GT2 actually kinda looks like a Saleen S7, at least from the back, and Damn you OP, you have the same color and wing as mine :grumpy: lol
 
I like them both. Probably the newer (GT5) model more, since it's more of a supercar.
 
Anyone else get flashbacks when they see GT2 pics? :) Man I spent a lot of time with that game...
