Tommy Kaira ZZII in GT5 compared to GT2

Anyone else get flashbacks when they see GT2 pics? Man I spent a lot of time with that game...

Actually I still have my garage from GT2 on my PS3, complete with all stock vehicles and another garage with full race modded versions of the street cars. Oh yes it was bad, lol. I used to have 10 garages on my original PS 1, had this sweet monster memory car that plugged into the back of the PS. Sweet days, that ZZII looked hella ugly in GT2 though, what you should be looking at is the Vector M12 and the Venturi Atlantique...GT4 ZZII is the closest one to the actual car that was built, the real car is more rounded than the GT4 modeled version. That photo of the car looks sweet, should be given premium treatment no doubt, looks like an F1 with S5S Raptor styling cues.

Yes it is. And that's why I prefer the GT2 version.

I love the GT2 version because it was light, had 500horsepower and had an MR drivetrain. My experience with that car was delightful. Acceleration in the car was amazing. Shifting into second gear, as I floor the pedal, the rear tires lose traction and break free from the road. Even with 'Racing Super Softs', rear tires were smoking as I rocket up to speed. That was my memory with this beautiful car. Too bad I'll never experience it beyond the capabilities of my PlaystationOne.

I like the GT2 version a lot, although I can't say I like it more than the later renditions. I LOVE both variants, and wish that they were both in GT5, however I hope that Polyphony don't decide to re-model the car because I really really dislike the real life model...

Doesn't the ZZII in GT2 look like a real supercar?
Whereas the one in GT5, to me, looks like a badly done model or replica of a supercar.

I have only played Gran Turismo 2 before Gran Turismo 5 came along. I fell in love with this car while playing in GT2, so when I heard of GT5, I was excited because I thought the car from GT2 would look so much more awesome in HD. Sadly, it looks completely different from what I thought it would be. I never played GT3 and GT4 before so I didn't know how the ZZII looks like in these two games. I wished they would have modelled the car after the one in GT2.

You ask our opinion on which looks the best/ Then give us GT5 photos against piss poor GT2 photos, Hmm well on the photos provided its quite obvious that GT5 is the better looking.
I suggest you get better photos of GT2 for a decent comparison.

They're both spectacular cars. On looks alone I prefer the refined style of the GT5 version. Now I'll have to fire up the ol PS2 and give the GT2 version a go.

Does anyone know how many actual cars were produced? Was the Tommy Kaira version on GT5 ever built as a real car? I can only find the blue ASL.
