This is not only my first post of any kind on GT Planet, but my first thread also. Reason why I'm posting a thread is because after exploring the site so far I'm really surprised how much people are not talking about this car.

Its got to be the most well rounded car in the game. I mean, even after totally tuning it to realize its maxium potential, I found that I had to do little to the original settings! Top end speed, accel., and overall handleing are quite exceptional.

Granted its is a concept car, but if Tommy Kaira intends on making this thing and it turns out its as good as the game, i see it winning many awards form many authorities (C&D, JD Power, Motor Trend, etc...).

Anyhoo, I just wanted to start a discussion about the car if there wasn't already one now or in the past. Please share any thoughts you have about the ZZII and possibly (if its possible!) any tunning tips for it. :)

PS: please excuse any spelling or grammatical error, I'm writting this between classes.

Yeah,

Many people have talked about the ZZII.
In general it is a good car, one of the best MR, can compete with the LM's and win with no problem.
It is curious that the design is almost similar to the McClaren.

Anyways.

Welcome to the forums.

Trunks - Hey, welcome to the forum.

Ya, the ZZII is an incredible car. I agree, one of the best in the game.

It is one of the "old standbye's" used in 2 player battle...

yes para it is 4WD in the game. And i don't think it looks anything like the McLaren F1. find the thread "real life car pics" or somfin like that. i posted some pics of it, and its stunning.

It's ok. I wish there was a LM version of it. It has some understeer because of the 4WD layout. But, for a concept car it's one of the best.

this car is by far the best car in the its class. Overall its the best road car IMO

Adjustable downforce in front and back, 900 some hp fully modded. And handles like a dream. With its 4 wheel drive pick up is mad. I think i can get it to go 0-60 in under 3 sec.

Yes, I have been able to get 0-60 times in the 2 second range... quite stunning... the ZZII is my favorite car, and I can compete with the "Big Three" with it... :)

OOPssss!!!!

How come I let that mistake escape!!!?

Of course it is 4WD, dunno what I was thinking about...

However it is still one of the best non LM cars that can take a LM any day.

yes the ZZII is mid engine/4wd, it has the skyline GT-R's drive layout (ATTESA ETS electronic torque split 4wd) also has GT-R's engine (RB26DETT)

HEY TRUNKS, Welcome to the world of GT PLANET!

I personally can't wait to get my hands on this car!!!

This is an amazing car, it reminds me a bit of some of the cars from GT2 with their unlikely dynamics. Even tuned to the max it grips and keeps you out of trouble. It's a blast to drive but ultimately it leaves me feeling a little numb. There's no real involvement IMHO.

Late as always  - Welcome along.

:)

No I haven't, but I will now - I love a dare!! Why do I feel I'm being set up?

Sorry M5Power :D I dunno if your from around here, but for me it is Hellaware  Anyhoo, does anybody know the default settings for the ZZII? Because i changed my settings around without saving (i'm a idiot i know). If any of you guys can help me out i'd appreciate it.

I don't have the default settings... however, you REALLY should use these settings I got off of GameFAQs. I've been using these every since I got my ZZII, and I honestly don't know anything that can be done to make these settings better... you will experience some understeer, but remember, the ZZII is not a drifter, more or less a stop-and-go kinda car. I can often beat the GT1, 787B, and R390 RACE cars with this setup:

~~~~~~~~~~~~
TOMMY KAIRA ZZII
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Suspension
Spring Rate (f)16.8 (r)14.8
Ride Height (f)62 (r)62
Shock Bound (f)5 (r)7

Brake Balance (f)12 (r)13

Limited-Slip Initial (f)5 (r)5
Limited-Slip Accel (f)35 (r)35
Limited-Slip Decel (f)15 (r)15

Gear Ratios
1) 3.677
2) 2.540
3) 1.777
4) 1.326
5) 1.039
6) 0.855
7) -----
Final: 3.366

Downforce: (f)0.84 (r)1.11
ASM: 10
TCS: 5
VCD: 30%

Good luck, and have fun racing! ;)

Thanx for the input, youth_cycler. I really appriciate it.

Speaking of settings does anybody have any ideas on how to make the run of the mill Skyline (maxed out of course) come close to a match for this car? its another little side project i'm doing.

the zzII rocks. it looks so sweet and it maxes out at bout 910hp. it accelerates really fast and the handling is ace. its one of the best cars in my garage at the moment.

well i think that this thread accomplished what i wanted it to do, a light disscussion about the zzII. thanx to those who were able to help me with zzII. moderators please delete this thread, thanx

its NOT over yet the ZZII blows!!!!!
hahaha just kidding this car is one of the SICKEST lookin cars in the GAME!!!, not only that but this car handles almost or if not better that the r390 or the gt-one, if i had to chose over a 900hp (non)-race car over anything else, it would choose this!!!!

Errr... the ZZII is, according to the game, a RACE car. So in the parameters of the game the ZZII cannot be one of the best, outsde of race cars.

I find it to be very closely matched with the FTO LM. ZZII tends to be marginally quicker, and slightly kinder to the rubber though.

I thought the ZZII's engine is mid mounted and the FTO's engine is front mounted.
That could by why, maybe?
