hi guys i been looking in dealerships for 3 months now and its making me how the hell do i get this car????? is there a pattern it will appear in the used car dealership??? i used this car a lot in GT4 but i can't use it here
Try the GT5 marketplace subsection of this forum, either trade for the car or for a ticket that'll give you the car.
Or keep recycling your UCD and keep checking religiously, I've got so many of them from my UCD, I have 5 or 6 now. You just have to keep refreshing and ALWAYS check every 3 - 5 races, that way you won't miss it when it comes up.
But it should be pretty easy to get one through the marketplace...
Yes, the ZZII also shows up in the dealership periodically as other standard-defined cars do, sold at 5 million yen(in dollars it would be more cheaper) or two... Astoundingly affordable compared to the price for the same car in GT4.
Mostly stock Standards, tickets and GT Academy cars seem to be most popular among the marketplace. You should read the stickies in the forum to give you an idea of how it works.
yw. this car is a very fast road car. The only con is the lack of serious downforce. If it would have that it would be the best road car in the game i think.
The models are the same. I tuned one and the other i left untouched. For trading purposes people prefer untouched cars and with as low mileage as possible.

Lack of serious downforce? Are we talking about the same car? Given that most every road car in the game comes with a max of 0/20 I'd say it comes with some serious downforce...lol.

Dude it's a street car not a race car. The NSX Prototype is just a race car in disguise. Of all the real street cars, that actually look like street cars and not race cars without numbers, I do believe the Tommy has the highest downforce of any car. 98% of the other street cars in the game have ZERO front downforce and 20 Rear downforce. My guess is it's third highest of all the street cars...but that's off the top of my head.
The simple way to get it to turn is to raise the front end a few notches, some negative toe front and rear, and high decel LSD on the front for trail braking but that is far from a full tune. I do believe there are several good tunes available for this car. I have it under 1:10 online at 600 pp at Deep Forest, a very competitive time at that PP level for a street car.
If you wanna get it to turn quickly at each section of corner, probably you can increase the downforce and lighten the car so that it assists the car in deccelerating in shorter distance... we may catch a glimpse of some drivers swerving off from the ring when we have a little drag race with friends.

The car does come up in the dealership if you're patient (not as often as you'd like though) and it worked out well for me because when it came up I bought it but it was blue and as mentioned above my favorite color on that car is that slightly off red color that's pretty unique to that car. The next day when I logged in I actually got that paint chip as one of my daily log in paint chips so I lucked out which is very rare! lol

Pity i am not in Japan i would buy one 2nd hand had a look online to import one is toooo expensive and the waiting list is 1-2 years until the dealers can source one to export!!!!!!
apparently it was made in Norfork so someone in the UK must have one to sell my budget is 20K
well Ras you will not BELIEVE it for almost 8 months i been looking for a tommy and i could not believe it it was in the UCD 2 days in a row!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! different colours so now i got 3 but my first (you gave me) is always my first love heheheee
p.s i got a reply from a dealer in Tokyo and the idiot sent me a reply in Japanese and then the price which works out about £40k but he quoted me for a Nissan Skyline R34 Tommy Kaira Edition (whatever that is lol)

With a proper tune, it's just as fast as a 458 or a GTR or anything else at it's PP level. You should be able to do 1:09's at Deep Forest, 1:23's at GP/D etc., online, with the Tommy at 600pp. Keep working on the car, it'll go faster.

I know but i don't care sometimes if i come first its the pleasure with my steering wheel and pedals i have driving the car which other cars don't give me.
It al started when i went on Honeymoon to Tokyo and i saw this car whizzing around and i read the detail and it was a tommy. Never saw one since and now i collect tommy stuff.
