That's probably what happened. I equated our states as being like countries to the point of thinking we're a continent.

Frankly, I think continent is a more accurate description.

Thanks, Mile.

Israel?! Whoa. I wish that place would just implode.

Why's that? the main reason they're on my list is because they've never lost a war against anyone (in their 55-year history in modern warfare, that is, and even before then their record was pretty good). Well, I must now take an hour or so out of my life to draft and write an extremely easy essay for AP U.S. History, so this is probably my last message of the night (who cares? that is a really good question...)

personal preference

1. AUSTRALIA
2. Sweden
3. England
4. New Zealand
5. Canada
6. Fiji
7. U.S.A
8. Malaysia
9. Mexico
10. Austria (or whatever country red bull was first invented, i think its austria but i maght be wrong)

YUM

CONTINENTS (by the number of countries)
#1 Africa - (53)
#3 Europe - (46)
#2 Asia - (44)
#4 North America - (23)
#5 Oceania - (14)

I thought Africa had 46 - oh well, shows how much attention I pay. The Carribean (?) must be included in North America for it to have so many countries.

Worldatlas.com is wrong, or only technically correct, at best. I suppose you could include Mexico and the Carribean states. Maybe even Greenland I suppose.

*edit*

yep... Mexico and the Carribean.

In terms of world power you have to take into consideration the amount and availablity of nuclear weapons. Also where the country is located which is why some Middle Eastern nations are in fact world powers due to the fact that they have mad supplies of the prescious oil that the entire world needs.

Since many nations have nuclear weapons including: USA, Russia, Pakistan, India, North Korea, blah blah, etc...they have to be in the top 10 based on that fact alone.

Based on what one of Hitler's advisers told the prime minister of Japan before WWII started, "If the United States enters this war they will become the dominant world power in the future." I will end my post with that.

so do have to back up the list your post or do you just choose 10 and list them, cuz i dont feel like explaining my list for the most part.
