Check it.

Ignorance in a nutshell.

Gravity: Doesn't exist. If items of mass had any impact of others, then mountains should have people orbiting them. Or the space shuttle in space should have the astronauts orbiting it. Of course, that's just the tip of the gravity myth. Think about it. Scientists want us to believe that the sun has a gravitation pull strong enough to keep a planet like neptune or pluto in orbit, but then it's not strong enough to keep the moon in orbit? Why is that? What I believe is going on here is this: These objects in space have yet to receive mans touch, and thus have no sin to weigh them down. This isn't the case for earth, where we see the impact of transfered sin to material objects. The more sin, the heavier something is.

several million years for a monkey to turn into a man. oh wait thats right. monkeys dont live several million years.

Check out the sinful hippos.

I've seen the site before - the one with the mother with the gay kid (who later went on to kill himself) is just stunning.

Bear in mind that a lot of the targets are Christian fundamentalists, the site doesn't limit itself to just Bible-basher-bashing.

I've read this before, just about everything written there is hilariously ignorant. I really enjoyed the stereotype of the majority of athiests.

I'm imagining a monkey sitting, trying really hard to turn into a man and then *bang* he is a man.

Most afflictions like this are caused by sins committed while still inside the womb.
on a girl being born with mental disabilities.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

There are a lot of things I have concluded to be wrong, without studying them in-depth. Evolution is one of them. The fact that I don't know that much about it does not bother me in the least.

Would've been a good philosopher.

1.If we did evolve from monkeys then how come babies arent born monkeys

:D Though it might be interesting to mention that babies can be born with tails...

I love the bit about the earth not being round or moving at all, and the sun only being 3,000 miles away!

Why is it that spiders could spin and weave a million years ago, but they try to say people could only spin or weave 20,000 years ago.

Right....

Anal with opposites is still excluded from natural sex because once again your are sticking your think in a crap hole and a womans tits are usually projecting outward.

Usually? :D

Evolution says that we started out simple, and over time became more complex. That just isn't possible: unless there is a giant outside source of energy supplying the Earth with huge amounts of energy.
 Well, what d'ya know...

how come we cant speak monkey?
I've kept myself awake at night many times regarding this question.

idiot

Woah.... just... woah....

Geez, I knew these people existed, but I didn't think they would be able to figure out the Internets.

I think my favorite was:
You are confusing TECHNOLOGY with SCIENCE.

Oh, how did he do that?

:lol::lol::lol::lol:

Being from the State that has nothing better to do than fight over whether or not Evolution should be taught, that made my day. I've grown up with many people just like that, sadly.

singing... *We have no bananas- today!*

This could be a famous quote, I'm not sure; In my experience, those who claim to be the most like (their) God, are actually the least like "him".

I love this one.
The Fact the Earth is Flat is not my opinion, it is a Proved Fact! While all we need to know is that the Bible says the Earth is flat (Is.40:22, Ez.7:2, Dn.2:35; 4:10-11,20, Mt.4:8)... but for a second can you imagine what these so-called 'scientists would have us believe --- If the earth really was round, that would mean there arre people who are HANGING DOWN, HEAD DOWNWARDS while we are standing head up? But since the theory allows to travel to those parts of the earth where the people are said to hand head downward, and still to fancy ourselves to be heads upwards, and our friends whom we have left behind us to be heads downwards! LOL! What foolishness! TheWHOLE THING IS A MYTH - A DREAM - A DELUSION - and a snare, and, instead of there being any evidence at all in this direction to substantiate this popular theory, it is plain proof that the Earth is Not A Globe!

Some of those posts can't be fully serious though. What gets me though is the confusion of atheists with christian haters. Why being atheist means no morals or ethics to having to some of these people is beyond me.

This one:

[on the sunject of a Bible printing company]

Yes, that is a great company. I bought one of their large print version (old eyes... what can I say?).

The only thing I don't like about them is they sell foreign language versions of the KJB. I don't think that's right. We know the only true translation is the 1600's version in English.

It's too risky for anybody to translate that into other languages. Mistakes can creep in... and that can lead to heresy. True Christians should only read English.

had me spitting lemonade all over the desk.

That one, however, is quite tragic. :nervous:

Because, in case you didn't notice they seem to have a lot of hate and anger and my best guess is that their religious belief is the only thing that holds their morality in check. Imagine an atheist with that same hateful mindset.

A person that hates anyone and believes there is no spiritual consequence to having no morality has nothing to keep them in check. Fortunately most atheists do have a form of morality and a respect for other humans.

I have trouble imagining a happy existence hating anyone different from me and believing that they all hate me just as much. And then to live in fear that acting out that anger will result in eternal damnation.

What gets me is Jesus taught love and compassion for all people yet a large majority of Christians I meet that find out I'm not religious treat me like I'm the worst person in the world and that I am the cause of the world's suffering. It's ashame Christian do not follow the teachings their religion was founded on.

Personally if there is something after death then I will find out then, I'm not going to not do something in my life because I'm worried about what happens when I die. I want to live for today.

And that site is just awful, I can not believe there is that sort of ignorance in the world but whatever makes them happy, ignorance is bliss no?

Funnily:

so you think if no one believed in any religion there would be no wars or fighting? i think it would be worse. i know if i didn't fear god's judgement i would have killed many many times.

Posted on GameFAQs of all places.

Hmm, and I was just hypothesizing.
Let them prove my point for me.

Of course, I believe that hate and anger is why when they do become religious it is why they are drawn to fundamentalism.

However, the notion that no religion would result in no hate or anger is just as blind as saying that if everyone was Christian there would be none. Humans have a tendancy to act out of hate and anger despite their religious beliefs (or lack of), just some use their beliefs as personal justification.

Honestly, I think Heinlen does a good job of mocking fundamentalism in Stranger in a Strange Land. Granted, at the time it was written it was mocking general religion, but today it reads more like fundamentalist Christians.

What's scary is that people actually vote for these types of people.:scared:

It's Christians like them that give sane Christians a bad rep, and I do not like them.

Amazing. I wonder if this person would be willing to learn Aramaic in order to read a "truer" version of the Bible. I'd love to hear their response.

I've run into this, and no they won't. I have friends who are good people but don't take the time to actually research Bible history and whatnot. They were telling me how they were looking for new Bibles and notice that New International and some others had different words than the King James Version and so they won't buy anything else.

They seemed completely shocked when I explained that the KJV was a revision itself. Fortunately they are intelligent enough to know that I would not lie and that Old English is not the official language of God and Shakespeare alike.

I've always wondered how much of the Bible was changed over the years, I assume the stories were oral legend before being written down and adapted from other stories (there is a list of comparison stories some where).

Couldn't agree more, especially with the first bit. 👍

As far as the New Testament goes I believe none of the books were written until 60+ years after Jesus died.

I often debate with evolutionists because I believe that they are narrow mindedly and dogmatically accepting evolution without questioning it. I don't really care how God did what He did. I know He did it.

I'm not sure, but isn't it so that only 1 or 2 evangelists were an apostle of Jesus, and all the rest wrote down the stories that they heard about Jesus?
(not counting Judas his version)

And Christian fundamentalists are not really different than Muslim fundamentalists.
The only real difference is that those particular Muslims kill people, and the Christians say they want to, but are held back by the consequences.

What would be their reaction if you told them that Christians, Jews and Muslims share their god, only the naming is different :)

That's what I have always thought but I'm not sure.

Are you serious? Evolutionist debate amongst each other all the time on what happened, sure the basics are accepted but beyond that not so much. Even human evolution isn't accepted on how it happened, some believe Neanderthal was a proto-human while others believe they were an entirely different species.

I'm in a class right now that explores the history of anthropology and the way these theories developed, and as I always say this does not even remotely make me an expert on this topic but I'll be more then happy to answer questions on the matter as best as I can.

no it was a quote from the site. i was trying to edit my post but my internets is gay.

I dont agree with said quote!

that quote is the definetion of irony
