Top 3 Most Hated Tracks in GT5

I B-but..I like Tsukuba and the oval tracks.. ;-;

Anyways, the list.

3. Cape Ring. Inside is okay, but this track is just...meh.
2. Madrid Mini. Not many interesting things here.
1. Twin Rig Motegi Full Course. The West course feels poorly tacked on and ruins the flow so much.

1) Cape Ring - (or any track with the word Cape in it) I Actually get violent when someone in a lobby changes to this track. All versions suck.

2) Autumn Ring - Can never find the sweet spot, all versions.

3) Special Stage Route 7 & Route X - Boring. Drive fast, then turn right.....twice.

Prefer real world tracks.

special stage route 7....well i dont hate it but it would be my least fav
close behind it is daytona and indy speedways

My most hated tracks...

#1 Tsukuba (high on top, nothing can beat that boring track)

#2 ...I leave this open for now..

#3 ...I leave this open for now..

Only actually 1 track I really dislike, some Eifel tracks are also boring, but I cannot remember their "numbers"....

Cheers

High Speed Ring - boring as all hell and I've been racing it since 1998.

Tsukuba - even more boring than HSR

Indianapolis/Daytona road course - I generally hate all infield tracks. Flat and dreadfully boring.

Sarthe is a close 4th. I love the history of Le Mans but the track is very boring in game. Go really really really fast...slam on the brakes...go really really really fast...brakes...repeat.

Agreed on the Indy/Daytona road courses, i hate racing on them. I'd honestly rather drive on the Tokyo R246 or SSR7.

1 - All of the Cape Ring layouts, feels too much like fiction because of certain corners, the camber, the jump. I simply can't enjoy it as it's hard to maintain a steady speed and line in certain corners.

2 - SSR7 is something I would hate for racing time after time, for free runs I can see its use although I'll try to avoid it.

3 - Top Gear Test Track, again I see its use and I personally do use it from time to time, but some of the corners are pretty awkward (I hate it if there's absolutely no camber). Also think the scenery isn't that interesting.

1) Cape Ring (there are some fun sections though);
2) Motegi (didn't even buy it);
3) Indy Road Course (hate it since F1 times);

Cape Ring (Full) - Video games don't give you headaches - this track does. It's soo depressing.

Suzuka Circuit (Full) - Almost as bad as Cape Ring...just incredibly boring - IMO.

Nurburgring (24h or not) - IMO, It's simply far too long to have any fun on.

:)

I don't really hate tracks because it's all about learning them... Psshh I lied, I don't like Indy Road Course. At all. Hate it. I can lay down a really fast lap, then the lap after that will be 2 seconds slower. That and High speed ring.

I Love Cape ring however, lots of fun racing there. Ovals are what I really like though. It takes a lot of skill to run good ovals.

True. Nailing laps on ovals is one thing but trading(or avoiding) paint against a pack of screaming V8s is another.

GT5's AI is just not much into pack racing. It's usually me leading Daytona and a what? Probably a 2J behind me and the rest of the pack is 50 miles away. lol.

1) Cape Ring- I've never found a rhythm here.

2) Spa- I never really liked it.

3) Nurburgring- Can't deal with the size of this track. It's still nice though.

Monza was a close 4th place.

Im going to slap you. for 3 - 4

Well.

1. Suzuka(Full)(Short) most annoying track to drift on, and im not fond of it and very boring..

2. Special Stage Route X So damn extremely beyond Boring.

3. Cape Ring just beyond boring. no fun parts, just a track to get killed on. BORING

So overall - what's your opinion on these tracks?

To be honest I would find it hard to find tracks I truly hate. Also, I can't really understand why there is so much hate for Cape Ring. Maybe not the full track, it is just too long for the cars it is designed for, but the other variants are great to drive in my opinion :D My least favourite would have to be:

1) Autumn Ring (full and mini) because there is no flow at all, and most cars for me handle weirdly there.

2) Tsukuba. Great for drifting, but too short and relatively narrow to have a decent race on. Tedious.

3) Probably Fuji Speedway. I don't really know why, I should love it, but just find it awkward to drive on.

For the record, I drove an Infiniti Coupe Concept 06 on it a few hours ago and managed a pathetic 8:34.266 :( Any advice to deal with the blind corners and the unevenness/instability I will surely appreciate.

My advice, get a car your comfortable driving quickly at something like Laguna or trial mountain, get it all set up, then just run lap after lap after lap. You might need to increase your top speed a bit for the long straight!

It takes a while to get used to it, but once you memorize what's coming up and you get a feel for the track, I don't know anyone that doesn't like it!

I really don't hate any of the tracks... When you're not familiar with the track, then the challenge is fun, and when you become familiar with the track, then you know how to drive it well and can challenge other drivers (or with AI, just tune down your car)

Having said that, I don't like any of the 'reverse' courses. It just doesn't make sense to me...

That's the thing, I am pretty good with that car on Laguna and Trial but during Nurb, I just suck big time. It's as if there is this hidden magnet pulling me down. lol. I guess it has something to do with elevation?

 1. The Top Gear Test Track
 2. Special Stage Route 5
 3. Circuito de Madrid Mini

Not hating, but no fun. I just don't drive there.
Also most of the reverse.

><(((((°>°°°°°°°°°°°°

3. Fuji. I just can't seem to find a good flow there. I understeer on most corners, no matter what car I'm driving.

2. Tsukuba. Small, boring, flat, overused.

1. Grand Valley Speedway. I never liked it, even since GT1 days. I can't ever find a good flow here. I even had to force myself to do the endurance race there.

I'm actually surprised at how many people hate Cape Ring. I sort of like it.

How can people hate the Nurb?!? I'd rather race there where it's tough than Daytona where you get 40 overtakes in one lap.

My least favorite:

1) Fuji
2) Spa
3) SSR5

special route 5 - boring for me
fuji speedway - so black and white, one half of the track is corners and the other is a straight
superspeedway indy - i never race nascar so this already wouldnt appeal to me, but atleast daytona is actually half decent for a nascar track

Mm, just try taking it nice and easy for a while.
Some of the corners you have to take slower than expected, I know that much.
But yeah I literally just kept cracking laps til I remembered the track and now I can always go there when I want
Hang in there!!

My most hated track on GT5 is Grand Valley, it is way to boring and it feels very long whcich leads to more boredom the only good thing about it is the bridge, the rest are uninteresting and just no fun to drive on.

1. Tsukuba: boring, repetitive (hairpin, hairpin and then another hairpin), slow and overused. Hated it since it first appeared in the series.
2. Autumn mini, Madrid mini, London: too small to be interesting. I appreciate Autumn can be some fun with a low powered car on comfort hards, but I was never really into that so I never race there.
3. Indy road course: only thing keeping me from dozing off here is the massive braking in turn 1. Not a single fast or challenging turn in the entire track, and it feels so short, couple turns and bam you are on the camber heading to the finish line.

Bonus: ovals, SSRX and SSR7. I don't see the point of these tracks in a game with such an unrealistic implementation of drafting. Well, at least in SSRX and SSR7 you can make some cool photos, but the ovals are pointless.

Any layout of Indianapolis — Boring, especially the road track. And I don't race on ovals much.

Any layout of Daytona — Ditto.

London — One of the most uninspired track designs I've seen in the GT franchise. The only good thing about it is the outstanding visuals. Its incredible looks don't save it from still being a waste of space (and resources), though.

Honorable Mention: SSR7 (boring, but nice modeling quality), Madrid (doesn't flow), Cape Ring (silly)

Still Not a Fan: Motegi, Fuji, Eiger Nordwand (IMO, Eiger is better than any of the courses listed here, but I'm still not a fan of it outside of the modeling quality.)

I wish PD was more picky about which tracks it chooses to dedicate its resources to. There's some terrific original tracks they skipped over and even more real-life tracks they could have included. I would kill for Shift 2's track list (although at least GT5's track list is better than Forza 4's horrible track list).

Shame Shift 2 list is overshadowed by it's annoying physics :ouch:.
