Top Gear Challenge: Pain in the unmentionables

I work for lotus and have spent plenty of time driving at track days. I have to say the driving physics of the Lotus are the work I have ever experienced in a game. They drive nothing like the real thing. If a real lotus drove that badly on the track all of my customers would be dead. Sometimes I wonder if any of these game journalists who review these games and praise the physics have ever actually driven any of these cars.

Honestly, worst representation of a lotus on a game I have ever experienced.

Guessing I must have fluked this one as got gold in the samba's on the 3rd attempt, I've had a few goes in the elise, 5-7 i'm guessing, and have been disqualified each attempt, may have to turn the aids on and have another crack. been using DS3

Ha I liked the Samba Bus race, it was funny to me. The Lotus was not fun at all though, and it took me quite a while to get to second place. Never have gotten gold yet. The next one will frustrate you to no end if you didn't like the first two.

For the lotus challenge, just take some time to learn how to drift, because the lotus is pretty slippery. I got through in 2 times with some drifting experience...
Try it and you should easily get gold there.

I know its hard to give someone your account , i probably wouldn't but if you trust me give me your account and I'll do the top gear challenge for you. I'm not the kind of person who steals accounts. Whats the point? So if you trust me, i'll be more than happy to help...

Or, just a simple solution: Keep trying it untill you get gold. Thats the only way to learn how to drive that specific car (Lotus in this case). If you put enough time in it, you will see that it's going better every time you start.

For the Lotus challenge i switched on TCS and ASM (shame on me) and walked it. handles like a boat without aids on

For Samba bus challenge there is literally only 2 corners you need to brake a bit for. Frustrating challenge though

-Clean line and drafting is key in the VW Bus challenge.
-You have to stay behind the guy in front of you until the very last second; can't waste any time not drafting.
-Also, don't be afraid to put your foot down most of the time. Just don't oversteer on the corner before Gambon.
-Try to clip the corners as close as you can, but not too far (it's always frustrating to get a DQ).

As for the Elise challenge, I can offer no insight, as I am in the same boat as you.

quick update, Golded the elise after about 25-30 attempts, could have been 10 but i lost traction on the follow thru when sitting in a nice position and could only get 2nd. Best advice i can give is to survive the 1st lap, it's not hard being faster than the AI, its not touching them thats the prob
The vw one is painfully slow but golded on try no 4 so quite easy.

Keep plugging away and you'll do it in the end
