Sorry if this sounds a dumb question as I haven't tried the arcade time trial yet, but what tyres are we required to use (if a choice is given)?

I did a couple of laps with the LFA. My times were read because I refuse to take there stupid lines. I took The Stig's line out of Chicago. Otherwise it was all within the rules. My best time was a 1:18.3 The real car did it in 1:22.8 in the wet, so minus 4 seconds and that is about right. I could easily get into the 1:16-17 range with some extra pushing in the follow through and into Gambon.

Stock Ferrari Enzo No Oil Change

Will post photos later!

EDITED : I use a DFGT and no aids, only ABS at 1.

EDITED 2 : Just done a 1'17.418, will post photos soon!

Whatever come with the car when you buy/won it.

I beat the Stig's Alfa Romeo 8C Lap.

He did it in 1:38.2 in wet conditions

I did my lap in 1:25.8 using the controller. I'll can at least take a picture of the time. Or I could run the lap again.

Can anyone please test what tyres should be used???

Because i think that Comfort Soft tyres are closer to real life tyres that sport hards are.

That would make the lap times more realistic i think.

Anyone else's thoughts??

Not sure if i'm pointing out the obvious here, but you can shave off a lot of time with a flying lap rather than a standing start and a screenshot cannot prove that. With a flying lap an enzo could pull off powerslides and donuts and still go faster than 1.17, and the time could be posted with a screenshot here as if it was a standing start.

Failing that anybody can modify the car against the rules and with a simple photo as proof there is no way to govern it.

Just food for thought.

Thats deinately an issue... I forgot to save a replay of my time above, but I do have a replay of a time 1 tenth slower with plenty of errors in it.

I have the replay files for both if necessary.

If you guys want to do this with a proper standing start, with a recorded lap time that can be witnessed and verified there's an easy way.

Open your online lounge with the Top Gear Test Track, set it to a one lap race and only have one car on the track/in the pits. When the race starts it will be a standing start with a countdown and after one lap the race will be over. You can then go to the "podium" icon and see the result screen with the lap time. If two people are in the lounge, one can watch the other ones lap from the lobby and "verify" their lap time. Or take a picture of the results screen and submit it. Whichever works best.

Just thought I'd put that out there. Seems like it would make things simpler and more accurate. 👍

I start closer to the line so it's invalid anyway but I did a 1.17.1 in stock veyron. No real need for picture as I started closer to the line.

Actually starting closer to the line is a disadvantage. Ive seen it on the ghost sometimes I start a few feet back and never am able to beat that launch.

How come my times haven't been added? Do I need pictures for proof?

If this is still going? Completely stock:

DB9: 1'24.142
LP670-4 SV: 1'18.101
Veyron: 1'16.986
Improved my LP640 time too 1'19.758

No aids including ABS :)

That's a Good Idea, Never had thought of that. I hope PD at least makes the new update with an option of stand still or rolling start.
