I just thought on. Why isn't there any weather on the TGTT?

The STIG run quite a few hot laps in the wet so why can't we on GT5?

Maybe someone suggest this to Kaz so it will be available in a futre patch !!

The track is wet in one of the license tests so I don't get it either why we can't drive this track in the rain. Maybe it'll get added some day.

What I want more is the Suzuki Liana, Chevrolet Lacetti and the Kia Cee'd. :p Want to see my times with them!

I have seen alot of rant threads about top gear test track and the cones and the standing start for it but its just ranting nobody is doing anything about it i suggest that someone tells kaz to remove the cones and the barrier

P.S: (Sorry For My Bad English)

Good post. I also don't understand the need for all those cones. There's just way too many of them.

And the runway, it's perfect for good old fashioned drag racing. Getting rid of the cones and making a new start/finish checkpoints is all it takes. No need to design a brand new track from scratch.

Totally agree with this post. Odd that it isn't in there already. What I would like to see with the track is larger run off areas on the grass instead of invisible walls, making driver errors look and feel much better. Of course you don't wanna run off course but it would be nice to see it added when you get them big spins and no reason why they can't just open them out with a quick update.

For people that don't know the course. If you've seen the show, yes, it's easy to find your way around. For those that haven't, it's just a runway and some taxiways.

The cones is unnecessary, there's the driving line for those unfamiliar with the track.

Agreed on all counts, there is a LOT of untapped potential with this track.

And yeah, the invisible barriers are REALLY annoying...

Are you listening, PD?

The track itself is very dismal...I don't understand why it was included in the game without the ability to 'free roam' the runway. That is really the only interesting point about the location in general.

I don't mind the cones in races as they show the noobs were to gon but the barrier on hammerhead and the invisible walls should go. And then on online free run barriers should just go completely. No cones, no barriers, just an airfield to have fun on.

👍 👍
One would hope that if we follow you Evil_Stig, they might just listen to us. :)
But yes, it does seem irrational (so do many other aspects of the game) why they would omit a few more option with this track....
It's painfully obvious that PD cut too many corners. :(

where in the heck is the track? Didn't it used to be in practice mode? It's not there anymore, unless I'm just completely missing it.....

Has anyone noticed that chicago corner is all wrong? The cones that direct you onto the strait should not be there. If you watch any videos of Top Gear, the Stig always comes out of Chicago strait, then gradually moves to the right side of the strait in preperation for hammerhead...Its bs...The way PD made that corner is stupid. It is such a slower corner than in real life... Another problem, The corner before followthrough (cant remember the name) it is ALLOWED to cut the corner, where the red and white stripes are. The game invalidates the lap if you cut that corner. Jeremy has mentioned that multiple times. Yet when on time trail mode, it doesnt let you cut the corner. PD ruined this track IMO.

Has anyone else noticed these discrepancies??? Doesnt ruin the game for me, but it does agervate me greatly. Here are a couple of vids proving what I am saying.

At .22 sec when exiting Chicago The Stig exits strait and gradually moves over to the other side for hammerhead.

Even Lewis Hamilton cuts the corner....at 7.42:grumpy:

Ditto, mines missing. :(
I would have sworn it was there in practice mode earlier, but I only went back there last night (practice), first time for several weeks..:indiff:
Maybe I had only imagined it being there...

They really missed an opportunity to include drag racing with the track. What they should do is fully open the track, so that way, people can do top speed runs or drag race on the long runway. And they should definitely include rain in the top gear test track

The sky and the lighting are different than usual and the license description states that it's wet. Road grip is also much lower than normal. It's a wet version!

EDIT:

The one with the Nissan GT-R, which is License IB 1, I think is the one where the Top Gear Test Track was wet

Oh, you're right!

Yeah, it bothers me too that the TGTT is always bright and sunny. At least make it overcast like it is in 9 out of 10 episodes.

It's probably a bit too ambitious but I'd half hoped that the Top Gear test track would be something like an online lobby. That way people could set up impromptu drag races or just potter about whilst waiting for the race to start.💡

This being a track in England, one would be lead to believe that rain would be standard. I hope it will be added. A drag strip down the runway or at least a "free roam" option to be able to go where you want on the airstrip would do the same thing.

Yes, agreed, I was disappointed when I find out there is no rain in top gear test track (since half of the time it rains in england), and what about those invisible walls, this track is for fun and its quite chalanging, I can see they moddeled quita a distance, which is restricted, that just take away all the fun, I do make mistakes sometimes, and driving into a wall I cant see is just stupid, at least creata a sign "stupid ivisible wall ahead- 2 metres". 👎

without all the flaws it's still very fun to drive and I still cant wait to try out Chevrolet Laceti (ohh wait there is no Laceti) well then some other cars. :sly:👍
