i got a suzuki Escado from a prize ticket. To me, its a nice car after some slight tuning. but i got a problem with its top speed, with top speed change to 250 mph, my Escado only manage to do 187~190 on super speedway. does anyone eles facing the same problem? any remedy ?

It has so much downforce unfortunately.. this car isn't meant for racing on the daytona, it's meant for covering ground over dirt - which is why it accelerates like a bat out of hell. In fact I think you can only win the "Like the Wind" challenge by drafting on the final straight :\

You could try going into Body/Chassis setting and decreasing the aerodynamic properties but I've seen that it doesn't go much faster than this because it has a large 'natural drag' coefficient kind of thing applied to it.

thanks ~ maybe i should keep it away from super speedway and start looking/wining for a proper speed machine to conquer Like the Wind

Add it to the list of brick cars that should be fast but suck: Veyron, Panoz Esperante, Gillett Vertigo come to mind.

Get that Gillett Vertigo properly tuned and it is fast, will win Like the wind easy and also lap the ring at 6:15.

Keep in mind this car is purpose built for exactly ONE event. The Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. There is only one straight on that mountain long enough to even get up to around 130mph. The idea behind the aero is maximizing low speed downforce, without really any regard to drag. The car absolutely flies on its intended environment, so much so that nothing else on earth has beaten it.

Wow the Escudo sucks because it has not enough Topspeed ??

OKAY....

Well it ownes on almost any other Tracks (58.7xx at TGTT for example) and is a monster if tuned right.
Same is the Gillet, its not a LMP its a GT Car
=> much less downforce
=> slower then LMP´s but ownes the GT´s

B2T:
Well I think it is part of "realism" that a Car with a Bed as Rear-Spoiler can´t go faster then 300kph (without Drag). It is a fridge with an insane Machine build for Cornering on Gravel.

Finally, someone else sees the light! I hate the obsession with power and top speed on this forum, its mad. The Escudo is an Amazing all round performer (finally) but all that gets discussed is that now it can't do wheelies at a million miles an hour! Instead, it is by far the fastest thing you can throw at a dirt track, and a lot of tarmac too.

You have to admit, this thing without (or reduced) the front and rear spoiler in GT5 would be awesome to see..

Really? I did that event with it and I won like with 5 er so seconds, (only modification was an oil change) Maybe you just need to learn to control the car?

That's true, and I used it in a few lower enduros and it won easily. But against it's peers it's near the bottom with the Esperante.

Lol, in remote races, regardless of level of driver or starting position, those two end up at the rear pretty quickly (sarthe race).

The Escudo might own on dirt, but they put it in on an oval, where it struggles. Eunos above said it right: it's made for a certain type of event.

Trolling me doesn't work.. besides all your comments are late.. read my frist comment, in which the OP thanks me for, idiots. 👍

I have not actually even used my escudo yet, TJ13. I was making an observation from watching my brother race Like the Wind with it.
