I've noticed that a few people have been replying in really old topics (from the last couple of pages in here, and the Test Forum) and 'bringing them back from the dead'.

This has to stop. It is not funny, and will not be tolerated by the Admins for very long.

The idea of bringing these topics up again, have resulted in members spamming in them to no end, and some have even been locked because of it.

So please stop doing it as it is absolutely pointless.

I'm just talking about the ones which are being replied to with replies such as "this is a dead thread" etc...

The ones which are being bought back up for no reason.

I have an idea:
if they find a really old topic that they have an opinion on, why don't they start a new thread about it?

WTF? So now you have two about the same ****!>?!?!?!

just dont bring up an old topic for no reason, or to say "hey look at this, its really old". if u have an opinion on an old thread, thats fine with me.

WHO GIVES A **** we should bring up what ever we want, this shouldnt even be an arguement(as long as its not spammming). If you dont like it dont respond and it will die on its own.

I do. It clutters the forum needlessly - it is only done for attention and a few extra posts, not to contribute to the community or increase the quality of our forum.

cluttering would be adding needless threads nonstop, and continually doing so after being asked not to. Bringing back old threads won't clutter it because they already exist. If younger people don't feel like breaking the rules, and they have an opinion on an older thread, they should be allowed to pull the old thread back up. it isn't clutter, just talking about old stuff.

Did you read my post?

REAL discussion in old threads isn't a problem, nor is it being discussed here.

No it's not. He brought up several old threads in this very forum, even though Jordan told him at least 2 times to stop.

I hope you guys know that in several months, someone will bring this thread up from 'the dead' as irony.

Heh heh, I'm gonna write that down, good idea.

Well, I brought back the I'm Hungry thread today... And I even said "this thread must never die," or something like that. Is that what you are referring to, Mustang Man? I doubt it because it had only been four days since the last post.

I just thought that if a thread was still active and available to be posted in it was, well, still active and available to be posted in. If threads have a life-span then lock'em. Problem solved. What is the reason for keeping them open if threats of banishment and/or thread locking will be the result of posting in them?

This one was unavoidable. Somebody was bound to do it. So I made that somebody me.
