If I had a team mate I was letting down! ...... I'd feel real bad and very shady :embarrassed:

But I dont have a team mate! ... I just have 4 kids off school all week and 2 of them have chickenpox and mum's at work most of the day ..... I'm being tested sanity wise and losing by the look of things :banghead:

I cant race seriously with the situation as it is! I hope this explains my early departure better 👍

Laters all

Sux to hear that Ron. I hope your kids get better soon, and that you keep SANE! :D

Hi, I'm sorry, i am going to have to drop out aswell. I just havent had any time at all this week to do it. I was meant to have a holiday today and tommorow but things changed.

Very sorry to my partner T13R.

Time and Replay submitted. I tried like crazy last night and tonight to beat my best but could only get to within 3 tenths.

T2's: 54.772 | 48.780

Good luck all!

Time submitted, Replay sent, and Race 5 vote sent.

Good Luck guys, cya's at the GV

Also had no motivation to pick the GT3 disc in stead of the GT4P disc :odd: Except for this morning. I got out of bed an hour earlier :irked: and managed a clean race.

I can do a lot better, but with a lot of drivers dropping out, my chances are getting bigger :D

T2's: 53.3 & 47.1

Good luck on the last one

Time submitted, replay sent. I'd have done better, but I just plain suck.

T2s were :52.915 and :46.771... yay.

Hope everyone had fun!:banghead:

A big SORRY to NoQuarter, I did not even manage a race this week, too much stuff happening in my R/L to spend any time in front of the TV ATM. :(

15th? better than I expected, grats to my teammate, inside the top 10 👍
Couldve run in the 19's, just couldnt put it together

👍 to Slowpoke, Xtremed63 and T13R, great job there guys

Tosk: Will get my replay over to PH tomorrow mate

Ron and Kelly: Sorry to hear that mate:( , hope the kids get well soon guys:)

great jobs by the old feller, my glorious teammate, and t13r. my time was nothing short of miraculous considering the fact that my skills are virtually gone. looks like slow and easy are going to win the overall as i can't possibly beat either of them or anybody else in the top 8 from week to week. it's ok though, i had my time (true it was because there was'nt that many racers who were good) but i had my time anyway. good luck to all in the final round and i hope i don't drag the boat down too badly for the final round. atleast a pretty cool winner takes all type situation has arisen. slowpoke and ed, no need to thank me for keeping you guys in it, what are old friends for? ;)

P

P.S. i'm outta the comp. we can't beat slowpoke and easy ed anyway. there's no point in wasting my time if i'm going to finish in 10th and we lose. might as well cut my losses and bow out now. take it sleazy.

Max, old buddy!!! Don't be doing that  By my calculations, you're now in 5th place overall - still 4 points ahead of me in 6th!!! And Slow and Easy Racing is now 2 points behind you Whiskeybent and Hellbound guys!!! What a heck of a final session it could be man.

I can't tell ya Max, how many times you've motivated me the push my limits. Surely the MLG GT3 champion has one more good race in him :D Sure would be better for your team and yourself to go out giving it your best ..... and who knows what'll happen :odd: btw - love your sig - what fond memories :)

What a session this one was - Pokey picking up a very narrow victory and with some great help from him, I managed to climb from 11th place to 6th, to close within striking distance of the top dogs - that's you and ExtremeD63, Max........

Big congrats to Pokey, XtremeD63, and T13R for the very fast and close times at the top :)

Mr P - sorry to hear about the difficulties at home with the little ones. Been there myself - with 2 of the little rugrats at home with chickenpox - neighbors wanted to borrow them to expose their kids  but I know how hard it makes doing anything :(

ok, i'll finish the comp. i was cranky this morning i guess. thanks for the kind words ed. much appreciated. let's finish.

👍 👍 👍

Cranky in the morning??? You?? No way!! :P

Oh Jeeez, and it's a single hot lap with who knows what car

"Empty your mind. Be formless, be shapeless... like water. You put water in a cup and it becomes the cup. Put water in a bottle.. it becomes the bottle. Put it in a teapot.. it becomes the teapot. Now water can flow, or it can crash... Be like water my friend." -- Bruce Lee

The water is deep my friend :)

hey, it was your best finish so far ..... and you beat me :irked:

And sorry about yer partner :( Bummer !!

"He who acts defeats his own purpose;
He who grasps loses.
The sage does not act, and so is not defeated.
He does not grasp and therefor does not lose."

Or as we old hippies used to say..."Go with the flow man" :)

Yea I know this is my best finish of this Torc series, but nothing went as planned yesterday, and I lost the racing time I had previously allocated. I had the pace to easily obtain 2'17.4, and this is ultimately why I'm bitter ( it will fade away soon ). Congrats to Slowpoke and Xtreme on making it to the 2'17s, and filling out the two steps above me 👍

Bitter......ya want to hear about bitter??? :P

I too was on the pace to be well into the 2:17s, but then for the last 2 days my lower back has been killing me.......particularly when I'm sitting  After 15 min of driving the pain turned to a tolerable blur unless I tried to move - then it was a knife in the back, blade twisting slowly When I'm finally in the groove, I have to quit to go to my sons last baseball game of the season (they won in the bottom of the last inning coming from behind). After the game and festivities I could finally hit the track again about midnight and spent the next 4 hours to no avail. I know if I had been able to keep going earlier, I would have made the 2:17s. And today I'm paying the piper - can hardly sit to type a decent post

And I didn't even get a podium spot :banghead:  Funny thing is those late nite sessions never work for me ..... but I keep trying it anyway :D

Anyway, nice to meet ya :) Me thinks you're hangin' around MaxE too much  ;)

Hehehe. Yes I know I should not be complaining for I am still very young and don't understand the majority of problems you less younger guys ( and gals ) have. But as I said before, it would fade away quickly, and it did :) And now I even know what to look forward to later on, but not for many years still hopefully!

It is nice to meet you also :)

Geez, who's this NOOB ^^ being all philosophical and stuff?? ;)

Congrats and thanks to XtremeD63 for letting me squeak by, and another top run from T13R for the podium:cheers: 👍

T13R, TORC is really an acronym for Frustration Management 101 ;) You know you can do it, hell you have even done it, you can see boat loads of time to be taken, and have taken it. But there is always something in the way: did I touch him, or he touch me? Was that tire off track, or not?? Invisible wall, WTH is that?!? All of this is after you find your way to the track! Been there myself, more times than i care to admit (just ask my wife ;)). Don't let it get you down, your time is closer than you think 👍

2:17.4xx?? There's no way I coulda hit that! I think my best start lap was in my submitted race (1:12.039), and I did hit a clean flying lap of 1:05.454, but in teh submitted race was only a 1:05.721. I was nervous over that final 0.2 seconds! Having run 2 Board Challenges on this track certainly helped! :)

Oops, almost forgot. Glad the young 'un is coming back! I never thought him to be a chicken!!

Here's my replay, it is NTSC Xport:

Hey Pokey - talk about old farts :)

Ahhhhh yes T13R, "less younger guys" - yer such a diplomat :) A lot to look forward to - losing hair on the top and it's growing out the earlobes and nose

@ XtremeD63, I received your EM containing your vote & your question about how many other TORC races have had a close finish. So I looked it up, got about half way through Season 6 and stopped looking, there have been some close runs…

Thanks for diggin' around for all that stuff, Pete. Pretty interesting also, to see some familiar names that go way back to before I even knew these sites and online racing existed!
Most interesting.
