when i first got this game i was pretty bad at it...finding even the beginner races a real challenge....now 2 years down the line i have almost completed it and try the old races again for a challenge...this time, i try and use lower power cars to beat the competition....such as a rally car against the LM cars etc..

whats the hardest race youve won using a compatatively low performance car?

PS, it is my life long ambition to beat the Formula GT champs in my stock Lupo Cup Car....i will do it one day....no, honestly...:D

could also consider a sprinter trueno in a rally couldn't you? rwd on off road surfaces..

perhaps, if it takes dirt tyres but i an not a convert to that car...i dont know what people see in it (thats gonna cause trouble)...

i was looking more for example of beating cars higher than your class, like the Mini against the Lancer Evo7

modest cars against performance cars (comparitively speaking) so if you beat a Jag Race car in your Beetle RSi, that kinda thing..:)

i can beat the Orcea Viper in my tuned Fiat on the American Championship and with the Escort Rally car too...

Hmm...I didn't really race too competitively when I completed the race...but I guess with a stock Denso Sard Supra around the Laguna Seca endurance that could be considered quite tough. I think I finished 2nd in that enduro.

Seattle enduro: Celica TRD Sports Version - 407 hp (easy)
Pro FR championship (all races): R32 Skyline GTS-t - 420 hp (easy)
Beginners GT World Championship: Stock R32 Skyline GT-R
Rome Enduro: 3rd in a 311 hp Honda Integra Type R (BMW got past with about 3 laps to go because i unfortunately had no choice but to pit... but i'm going to beat him eventually!)

And i got up to second in the Monaco enduro in a fully modded Tommy Kaira ZZ-S (about 340 hp i think). Couldn't catch the Nissan though. :( That was done without TCS and ASM on and the car isn't exactly tuned for grippiness...

well ive done the two races in the all japan ameturre races in a fully moded truneo SS but it was quite hard as they were faster than me and i really had to drive hard to beat em

Mildly tuning a FF car in the amateur league race is also a mission ... any race can be hard if you have a car that is not overpowered !?

nice one AO 👍

From the WRS and BC2: fully modded integra Type R, Seattle, Arcade 3 laps, CLEAN

EDIT: Not modest I know but certainly tough

The Midfeild race in the F1 cup using the TS020 GT-One race car, that was really tought, it was tuned but not to the max, it had around 850Bhp.

A stock Mini has to be imposible, even if you didn't pit in you would be left for dead.

I did that race with a stock Tom's Castrol Supra and finished first decisively. What tires where you running?

I also ran the 2 hour endurance at rome with a stock elise190 and finished 1st by almost a lap.

And I ran my Tom's Castrol Supra against the Mazda 787B, Nissan R390 GT1 racecar, and the Toyota TS020 racecar in a professional league 10 lapper on Grand Valley and finished first.

Let's hear it for the underdog!

Toughest races I've done are probably:

Pro Elise race and Pro Spider & Roadster with the Elise 190, stock transmission, stock suspension, no LSD, 280hp, lightweight 1 (didn't change oil and was down to about 263hp by the end)

Italian Avant Garde with the Zonda Race Car, no upgrades, no tires, no oil change

Lightweight Cup with an Alto Works with nothing but an Intercooler & Flywheel (and oil), on normal tires

Pro Vitz Race with a stock transmission, stock suspension, no LSD, 268HP, lightweight 2 (Test Course sucks with a stock transmission)

Pro Tuscan Challenge with nothing but tires, no oil change

Talking about the Pro Tuscan Race, I found it a bit odd. Whereas the other pro league races feature hard-tuned AI cars, the AI cars in the Tuscan Challenge seem to have little or no mods at all. I ended up removing all my tune-up parts and still winning easily.

Tough races in GT3..the Zonda race. I haven't yet won it without a Zonda race car.

The Roadster enduro in the cheapest MX-5, with only an oil change. Then again, it's not very difficult.

I won the Zonda race with a C12S, tuned of course.
