Touring Car Masters is an Australian series using Australian & North American Vintage Musclecars and the Porsche 911 2.7 RS. Using up to date components such as bigger brakes and various engine parts & engine management, the V8s can develop around 650hp yet still weight about the same or more than a modern day V8 Supercar @1350-1400kg. There are Class A(v8) & B(6-cylinder). On short twisty circuits, the 6-cylinder cars hold their own. So, it's not about outright speed or wins but the having fun in these vintage cars.
I have not found any history of anyone who is/has run a series on GTPLANET such as this. My Internet is a little shakes at times and I'm moving in a couple weeks so I'm not really looking to join a league or start a room but, if someone is hosting races like these it would be good to know.
