with the apparent lack of activity in the TT forums, there seems to be very little hope of the tt photo comps getting revivied. And since TT is nothing but gt4 with motorcycles, then why not allow the bikes when theme allows?

im guessing im just SOL though :indiff:
 
I think it sounds like a good idea. I'm sure some will think it's unfair because not all of us have access to the bikes, but I think that is the privilege of those who shelled out the extra dough for Tourist Trophy. Mainly I would just look forward to seeing some pictures of Tourist Trophy in this forum.
 
Me too. Probably because I own TT, but still. I think it would make for some excellent competitions (H2H TT v. GT4 anyone?) :D

i was thinking that too, but, the way i view it is a good picture is a good picture. or, maybe im just over simplfing it?
 
I'm definetly in for that,, I don't have TT,, but it sure sound interesting to do a GT4 vs TT comp:),, something like the Head2head comps
 
I think it would be okay to occasionally allow bikes into our hallowed Photo Comp forum, but not to have themes which only allow bikes. It would mix things up a bit for some people to enter with TT pics mixing with the other GT pics, but I think that if this type of theme may tend to be over-used.
 
Well, I think we should ask moderators first since they put up the TT forum and maybe wanted to keep the games separate? Anyway if they don't object then IMO it's up to the individual comp owners to decide if they want to allow TT shots in their comps. Could be interesting to try at least.

I would not allow those in the tournament though unless both entrants in a match have TT.
 
rev - im not asking for bike only themes, just, to be allowed to submited TT pictures where the theme fits/allows.
 
Id love to be able to break out TT again. The comps in the TT forum died off. The themes here keep me playing, but I havent had a reason to shoot bikes. Id like to be able to mix them up a bit.
 
Yes, I think This forum is probably the most popular on the site, & TT comps would do much better here than anywhere else...
 
Considering that there's already the debate about whether certain shots some weeks fit the theme as well as others (and I'm sure there are people who have their vote decided by things like favourite car, for example), I feel like mixing the two games can really cause some imbalance. Bike lovers would vote bikes, and vice versa. It really is apples and oranges.

That's just my opinion, though. To be honest, I wanted the TT comps to be more popular, but I'm not sure mixing the two would be the best idea.
 
maybe we should put the TT competitions under GT4 Photomode directory
that may attract some people to enter
because the TT's gallery section is pretty dead in my opinion
seems like only a few fellas visiting
 
I would have to agree with that. Honestly, the only reason why I don’t visit the TT photomode comps is because I am overly-lazy.
 
I think it would probably be for the best if the TT Comps moved here, they seem pretty dead over there in the TT forum.
 
okay, so, who will do them? alpha was doing the TT comps, but, recently disappeared ... id give it a try if i werent on aol dial-up (24000bos is the best i ever get)
 
if i had TT, i'd do the TT comp

i plan to get TT soon, but it's $99:drool:
 
Well, you dont technically need TT to do the comp.

I certainly dont have any time to do it, but if I had more time, I'd do it instantly.
 
if i was on boardband id do it, but, it takes me too long just to upload my own pictures/updates :|
 
Heh, I ran the 2.0 Advanced Comp for close to 6 months on 64K ISDN!
Not 56K, but not far from it either.
BTW, I am on ADSL now :D

but im guessing your were connected faster than 24000bps where as im not even 56k speeds :(
