They're both the same technique, actually power over is more often done mid-corner. It's sort of like the beginner technique, for people who aren't too good at judging entrance speeds yet and want to feel the corner before they go sideways (nothing wrong with that btw, people who are too full of themselves to take things slowly will lack understanding in the long run). Power over is mostly the technique I use in real life, although I am starting to use the e-brake a little more often and sometimes I pull off a successful brake drift... still working on feints =) I can't wait until I can pull those off!

Thanks for clearing up the style to which I drift with. I wasn't trying to be rude back about the comments, I just didn't know what was going on. My bad.

Didn't I initiate the drift pretty soon on some of them tho? Like the red trueno in rome?

And thnks for the comments on Oddballs, it's not the best drifting, but like stated earlier here, when you don't know what entrance speed to go with, the drifts ain't 100%.

power over is good, but not if you wait till the apex of the corner, then its just a late drift, which is lame *lame*

hey toyomatt84,

I tried to download the video at school, but they don't have the decoder, and they can't download it  so I'll have to wait at home until the downloading is done. I'll have a critique later today.

Toyomatt84: You're good but you have to "polish" your replays. I mean, in a good video can't make spins. Keep trying. 👍

Okally dokally. I am also trying to induce the drift at earlier times. Before in this thread, it was said that I don't drift till halfway thru the turn. So, I'm trying to work on that. I'll keep you guys posted on that.

You mean a better intro? Cause, I can't do much with Windows Movie Maker. My StudioDV is on my desktop in Wisconsin. My laptop here only has that crappy initial program.

I just watched Drift Works 3, and noticed something. Is it just my imagination, or does Ken Nomura (the silver R34 sedan) power over drift? Cause I thought he did before the flick, and just wanted to make sure.

PS. He's my idol.

He uses a number of different styles, depending on the situatuation, as would any good drifter. ;)

The Oddballs vid was full of slamming into stuff, haha. Nice vids. :D

Really, it is difficult to drift when you have no idea how fast you need to be going into a corner backwards. There isn't a set Reverse Laguna, or a Reverse Cote.

I forgot to say it. If anyone wants to borrow any ideas, like the reverse track drifting...GO FOR IT! :D

I do take responsibility for the idea though. :D

Oh yah, forgot about 19xx's site. All his stuff got kicked, and I was lucky enough to be one of them. Give me tomorrow and I'l get it done. I gotta study for exams.
