Didn't really know where to put this so sorry if it's misplaced. Anyway today I was using my Toyota 7 race car on nurburgring the original and I was gonna tune it to 650pp. I realized when I would bring the engine % down to a certain level the pp would change from going down to up again even though I was lowering the %. Also if I played with the weight this would also happen. It was weird because I got to a point where I had the least amount of downforce and full hp and the least amount of weight and the pp would read 650. How is this possible I don't know I figure it's a bug. But I also think maybe because lowering the hp reduces wheel spin which would make the pp go up but the. I thought no other car is like this and I really don't think the developers would do that. Has anyone come across something like this maybe in another or track or something?

Hmm interesting you would thing polyphony digital would fix these as these are quit serious bugs lol.

I dont think its a glitch i think the manufacturers put in more power then sense :D

For example on gt3 the gillet vertigo produced 420bhp, on gt4 and gt5 the car produces 932bhp, surely the power would overwhelm the chassis and with the gillet and the toyota both having short wheelbases the car will be very twitchy in the corners so less power maybe equals more stability :)

Lowering the power on those cars puts them into a more optimum performance capability, thus raising the PP.

I've seen this with the X1, it usually varies on what you but some of them if you decrease down force and horsepower it will tick over to 1000pp then sometime you can decrease down force and add weight and it will tick over to 1000pp.. I know my last one I ran 148DF in the front, 187DF int the back and added 9KG dead center to hit that magic 1000pp..

I've tuned a Vertigo myself, the car just can't handle the full 900+hp because I think the car is not properly built to handle the power. I tried decreasing the power and it became a lot more easier to drive. It makes for a more balanced car. Just goes to show you that more power isn't always good. 👍

I don't know why PD slapped 900hp on the Vertigo, the real race car was classified as GT2/ GT3 class, with about 400 / 450 hp.

The Toyota 7 with full power + minimum weight + minimum downforce = one scary ride.

The Toyota 7 actually started as a secret project to produce a ballistic missile camouflaged as a race car. Without the downforce and the extra ballast it will reveal it's true self and, at that point, the only thing that could make it any worse on the racetrack is if it were to be equipped with a nuclear warhead (although the added weight would improve handling slightly).

More power + less weight doesn't always equal better car.

The Vertigo, X1, apparently the speed 12 now, the 7, and the buick special all do this.

It should be noted, however, the vertigo and special both benefit from this pp oddity, as the vertigo can be run at near max performance at 640pp( tied with a max tuned aventador, with 100 hp more, more down force, less weight) while the Special gets 560pp when fully tuned.

For comparison, a Lexus Lfa gets 540-ish pp with 330hp less and i think 300kg more weight. Granted, the Special is horrendously built, but someone with patience and skill can and will turn it into a monster.

I have to totally agree with this statement. Another good example of this would be one of my favorite cars; the Tank Car drives much better with only 600hp than with the full 900hp+ I haven't noticed if the pp changes but I've been making slightly better times with it with the lowered HP, plus it's much more comfortable to cruise around with.

Not a bug, just the brilliance of the gt creators. Lowering the power of the toyota 7 increases the size of the power band, thus increasing the power output at a greater range of rpm. This will increase number of possible transmission setups that efficiently use the engines power. The change in pp has nothing to do with the diffuculty of controling this vehicle at high speeds.
