$1000 less, considerably less efficient and patently obvious where Honda cut the corners to meet the cost target. I see absolutely no reason for the car to exist when I could just get a Fit and get similar mileage (or at least similar enough considering the $6,000 or so price difference) or spend essentially 2 more months in car payments and get the better-in-every-way Prius.

The price difference in the UK is greater and journalists haven't found the economy to be too bad either on the Insight so perhaps there's a US/UK divide on this one. In addition, you seem to get better engines in the Fit than we get in the Jazz so the divide between those is further too. I'd be prepared to take Insight over Prius just because it'd be more pleasant to drive.

Of course, I don't particularly want either of them and we have the option of dozens of much better to drive diesels over here. Why buy an Insight when you can have a 2.2 turbodiesel Civic?...

Just reading prius makes me think this will be awful anyway that drawing looks good but that isn´t the front of a prius , its kind of a lexus is-f moreless , they should make a new supra or something like that if they want to make an exciting car again

Problem is that while the FT-HS concept car could evolve into some kind of Neuvo-Supra, Toyota would likely have a far more successful run at selling the smaller, lighter, and less-complicated Toyobaru... And probably this Prius as well.

Furthermore, now that I think about it, somehow I get the feeling this Prius coupe is going to be the closest thing we've had to a Celica in years.
