I just got the car and to me is a very sexy car, looks wise it screams modern racing experience, but for some reason PD decided to not allow upgrades on it. My main ideas is to have racing suspension and racing transmission and since PD block all upgrades this car is going straight to the boneyard. There's no motivation on runing this car unless it has upgrade options. PD showed us that racing is more than just get in and race thorough the entire GT series and yet he has fail to do so on this newer dlc cars. Car looks good, sounds ok but lacks the rush you get when your tune is better than the next. Great job PD on the new car, but yet again you disappoint me with it...

Aka, you've been around longer then me yet you seem surprised that PD fail.. Again.. Not much else we can do but wait as they might release the production version when it hits the market, similar to the C7 vette concept..

Omg are you serious? Why would they offer a new car with no chance of tuning it? PD, please listen to our feedback, we also need a test track. I still think this game could be much better, we also need new Hondas, lol.

What we need are cars we can tune, not these useless concepts and fake cars that PD adds which can't be upgraded. Who is really going to use this car competitively in the game? Even though I own it, all of its specs are a mystery, so you can't gauge how fast it will run against other cars, and can't upgrade it to compete with higher tier'd cars.

You know when a car is released it doesn't come packaged with a bunch of aftermarket parts. It takes time to fabricate a custom exhaust, program a specialized tune, find the weak points in a car's performance and create an aftermarket replacement. The FT-1 hasn't even been released so how are people supposed to know how well it's motor can handle boost, how it will respond to PCM programming, and how much better flow they can get from an aftermarket exhaust. It isn't as simple as adding X amount of HP when going with stage 3 tuning.

One thing about Hondas... There are more Civic's and Integra's then Chevy, Pontiac, Cadillac, and Ford muscle cars combined. What we need is more American Cars, that defined modern cars to this day (And I'm not a huge die hard muscle guy like slash, but I have to agree with him on this :sly: )

Sure you do! Lol

What we need is an entirely new game and not this garbage they call progress.

I don't want 500,000 Miatas where they are all the same car divided by standards and premiums and only like 4 Mustangs. NO. If my wheel worked with an Xbox, I'd say f:censored: Gran Turismo and buy Forza.

Guys do you remember GT1? How many American cars were in that game, I don't recall more than 5 of them. I see that Kaz has slowly incorporated them into the series and props to him for that but to be honest not all of them are cool, how many American cars you want to be caught driving in real life? I only have a handful....
Gran Turismo was a game originated in Japan so if he wants to include the whole Daihatsu lineup then be it, you can't force your likes or opinions to them. Yes I would like to see a few things or tracks make a comeback but for now I'll enjoy the game the way it is...

P.S. I loooove that Toyota!!!

I still love and support the game. And its not humanly possible to include what everyone wants. I just ranted. In todays time everyone will find something wrong with everything no one, and nothing is perfect. My comment was mainly just a stereotype Lol

And I have no shame being caught in an American car with more than 4 cyl...

Sorry being stereotypical. I know the Nissan GTR has 6 cylinders...

V-Tak Yo!

Haha Jk I'll stop

And back for OP I have no clue why they add a premium car but no tuning parts? Especially if they take so much time modeling one car.

It's spelled VTEC!!! And I agree, if it's a v8 then yes you got me, Chevy SS anyone, but other than that no thanks...

Closk this is not directed at you what so ever, but since you did it I'm quoting you . This is my biggest pet peeve, the Chevy ss. What ss?! Camaro? Chevelle? Ect. Same thing with the "dodge SRT-8". /rant over.

ON TO THE OP. The car it self is beauty wrapped in amazingness. I love it. It's gorgeous. BUT, (rant time again) PD claims this is a driving simulator yet we can't even build the car and put god forsaken parts on it! I mean seriously who in this game even races stock cars on a track in general?! No one! And because it's a concept maybe I can see no parts, maybe that's reasonable. But it would have still been a good drag car if I could, oh I don't know, SEE THE ACTUAL HP IM MAKING?! How do you have a hp and tq curve when you have none of either?! Or the weight?!?! And MAYBE I could get over this if I could do something as simple as TUNE MY TRANSMISSION AND SUSPENSION! Then i would be content, but PD makes me want to shoot myself in the foot at times because of this. But like I said, beautiful car.

"Shooting yourself in the foot" sounds painful! Lol

I agree Kt it bugs me too that we can't modified it with a suspension of all things and we don't know the Hp figures or anything else about the car. But my point was can't we just stop complaining and enjoy the game...

And just in case you didn't know what a Chevy SS is, it's has 6.2L V8 engine that provides 415 horsepower, 415 lb.-ft. of torque, enjoy:

Appears yall for got about the C7 Vette in GT5...

Lol, that's a commodore.

You have a valid point here, if we were to purchase the car in real life. For being in this game, all we would need to do is find out the specs of the block, and then base upgrades on other cars with the same block or similar displacement from the same manufacturer. Most of the upgrades in this game, aside from turbo & motor stages, are all percentage-based so they could've slapped a few in like the M4 and based the rest from 5 or 10% boosts. Even using stock horsepower, it should be able to use transmission, drivetrain, and suspension upgrades without any problem.

For those saying it will have an all-new motor or something not based from current cars; being a concept car, they will most likely have scavenged a block from an older or semi-new car from their current line-up. Using this guestimation, being a RWD Toyota, the horsepower could fall anywhere between the 600s to mid 900s with parts. Stock seems more powerful than most of the current stock Toyota roster, so I'd bet it would be closer to the high 8s or 9s when fully modified. Even though the specs are currently in the dark on this, once facts are set in stone, the car could be "updated" like the M4 and upgrades can be added. Whether or not PD would be willing to do this, is another matter entirely.

Yes it is, they tried years back with the Pontiac G8 and they are doing it again with this one hopefully this car will catch on with people.

What's funny about it is, with the Pontiac, everyone thought it was a cool idea.
But with this offering us Aussie are left thinking GM are nothing more than a bunch of tight asses.
With this being the last production commodore, it would have been nice for GM to show a little love for us Aussies and give us something unique, rather than rebadging it for sale in another country.
I guess it's to be expected though. They got to sell them somewhere right?. After pulling the pin on manufacturing here, causing job losses of several thousand people and really tarnishing their own brand in he process, Aussies will probably not buy a lot of these.

RIP Holden.
It's sad to say, but your days are numbered.

There was a new update today but does anyone know what this is?

Maybe PD took our feedback and now we can see the HP on this car, I honestly didn’t even bother to get it…

PD is reacting very slowly to our feedback and simple needs.

We need more cars, like the 1992 5.0 mustang, 1999 Trans AM Ram Air and also the 2007 Chevy Cobalt SS Turbo; we need a car that can beat the Hondas DC299.

I want the 2009-2010 cobalt ss turbo....2007 never had a turbo.
