Personaly I don't like it when people use the term Gay or Ghey in a negative way just to say they don't like something.

I'm not gay myself but I'm sure that it's seen by most homosexuals as an insult. Only a homophobe could've come up with that term.

Oh and AOL sucks :)

AOL doesn't suck. Just some of the people. And thanks to Knight for clearing up how I was trying to define "gay."

BTW, just came out of an AOL Chat, and I had to get away, otherwise this person would keep calling me a... well, I'm not going to make an ass out of myself online, so let me end on a positive note...

250+ POSTS! Congratulations, JohnBM! Gotta go, gotta see the Goodwood Hillclimb event!

In fact, 359, why are you so embarrassed if someones speaks about "gay" :O

The Toyota MTRC, as I heard, can challenge on-road and off-road courses in a tandem two seater design. The car's styling I may not agree with, but its capabilities is all that matters. The only open-wheelers you see off road are mostly buggies (like the ones in the Michelin Race of Champions). It would stir the pot to have these little spitfires go at it... on any track. Gravel, tarmac, snow, dirt, mud, sand, whatever.

This is moronic. "Oh my god, you're a gay supporter, YOU MUST BE GAY".

Please children, for the love of god, shut up...

Must be the language ... or the rolling eyes in most of your posts, but it looked not really like supporting, more like attacking.

That's why I was teasing you a bit.

I can agree with this however ;)

Any more talk about this concept? It looks like we're missing the point of this topic a bit...

:)

I found some more pics about this car :

I noticed that this car is making sound, even if the electric motors don't turn.

Can anyone explain the reason for that??

I can't hear anything... turn you fan off!!!

Anyways... I quite like this car but it is tricky to weigh it up against anything because in Prologue you can only race it against another one...

I hope there will be some similar competition... and one thing is for sure... Toyota are well ahead of anyone else on the electrical car front... and in my book that means one hell of a lot.

resonance caused by background radiation combining with seagulls. why have you braught up this old POS thread?

Happens all too often lately, it's weird.

Yeti - how do the lap times compare?

Dunno... I'll run some tests tonight if I can... I've not had Prologue for the last three weeks but I'm getting it back tonight!! Woohoo!! (My mate has been meaning to give it back to me since last tuesday but has lamed it and forgotten it every day for the last week and a half!! DOH!)

What sort of cars do you want me to test it against?

C.

I have no idea, I'm thinking a better idea might just be to pick a bit of a variety of cars and see what sort of range it falls into. I don't have Prologue and haven't looked over a car list so you'd know better than I amigo.

Ok dokey... I'll try and get you some approx times...

No doubt someone will inform me I drive like a granny cos my times are "teh sux0r" afterwards though but for the sake of the experiment I will be the control factor and therefore it doesn't matter!!

Til tomorrow or later...

Well, I like the MTRC, it's quite the novelty. Very fun to drive. And that is the point of GT: To drive cars that you could only have dreamed of driving otherwise... and in some cases, never even knew existed (MTRC, Espace F1, etc.).

That said, I will use that controversial word. I'm in quite a gay mood today, as I just recieved Front Mission 4. Ah, the wonders of the English language. :P

What's so good about this car? It's ugly as hell and it's concept 👎

It's fun to drive. And it can hold its own against the Celica Rally Car in Prologue, timing wise.

What's with the hate for concept cars? Concept cars are awesome!

Can't wait to drive that Toyota Triathlon Race Car around High Speed Ring.

Can you drift that sucker?

A fan, that could be it, although ... what has to be cooled? Each of the four engines when they do not turn?? ... Not convinced yet.

Would you prefer me to start a new one on the same subject?

Yes, but not very well. The tires don't spin when you hit the juice. They do slip a little when you equip the street tires and go faster than normal around a turn and tap the hand brake to start the car sliding. You just might get a little acceleration drift at that particular time, but not always. But this is in the Toyota Demo.

Odd thing about this car. It's electric, yet I hear electric motor cars have super fast off-the-line acceleration, but this things acks like a tug boat.

Wrong place I think?
To whom are you referring to? And what exactly do you mean?

DOH,

My friend forgot to come and visit me last night so I don't have my copy of Prologue back yet... but he will be dropping it off at lunch... so I'll attempt to get you some approx times over the weekend...

Like I said to BreakerOhio, take your time, GT4 won't be here for a while, we've got plenty.

Ok then...

Here's some times that I have made...

They are all from Fuji Sppedway with no opponents with no driving aids, AT and Normal Tyres.

I just grabbed a car did and did 2 laps. A standing lap then a hot lap.

I've done all the licence tests green-purple and have golded upto all of Red so I'm not the worlds worst GT player...

Lancia Delta Integrale 1.37.368
MTRC 1.41.876
Evo 8 MR 1.45.097
NSX Type S Zero 1.47.026

The Lancia had racing tyres cos it's the only tyres you can have... and I went off on the first hairpin of the track in the NSX...

The top speeds down the back straight were

MTRC 260 KPH
Delta 230 KPH
Evo 8 247 KPH
NSX 253 KPH

This surprised me a lot... the MTRC just keeps on going... given enough space I reckon it's top speed could be phenomenal!!!!

In the NSX I reckon if I hadn't gone off on the hairpin I would've saved 5 seconds plus a shabby run through the last chicane probs cost at least a second...

The Delta had the racing tyres too which would have added grip and increased my time.

So I reckon the MTRC is as quick as the NSX and the Lancia Delta.

One thing I will say is it's quite tricky to judge braking levels as the Downshifter only displays "1" in the MTRC cos it has a CSV... so you brake a bit too much for the car so it might be even quicker than this.

One further conclusion I will add... This is not a slow car!!!

C.

PS I'll get some more times on more tracks and more cars soon...

Good work Yeti. See, and people wanted to get rid of concept cars, unbelievable.

Nice to see how it stacks up, I'm curious just how far that CSV gearbox can take it in terms of top speed.
